I picked up this quirky little book by author Katie MacAlister called Improper English. It’s actually quite fun. She starts off every chapter with an excerpt of the characters romance novel that she’s working on. I swear the character’s writing is gosh awful, but hilarious. The thing that makes this book unique is it’s written in first person and is a romance book that sounds like a chic lit novel. It takes place in London. (The location may change later, but I haven’t finished the book so I don’t know.) The writing is interesting and fresh and easily sucks you in. I’m looking forward to seeing where she takes the characters.
