Age and Changes…

It’s the strangest as you get older everything starts to shift. Now I’m not talking about body parts here. I’m talking about friendships and relationships in general.

When you’re a kid you know where you stand with your friends. Things may get weird every once in a while, but pretty much your friendships stay intact. But when you get older strange things start to occur you realize that you really don’t have a lot in common with the people you used to call friend and may still do. You changed, they’ve changed, and unless you’re living in the same town you grew up in there is really nothing you can do about it. Everyone has their own lives.

Now maybe this is part of being a grown up. I really don’t know. Considering how hard it is to make friends as an adult, I find it odd.

  1. Well, Jordan, there are a couple of things that my daddy always says…
    1)It sucks getting old.
2)Most people can count the true/lifelong friends
they have had on one hand.
3)Shit in one hand and wish in the other, and see
which one gets full faster. (love that one)
    4)Drink a beer.

There, I am sure you know exactly what I am saying.
I love your journal, I find it funny and interesting. I look forward to your publication date. Keep up writing, no matter the burnout or cleaning disasters.
By the way, you are right, cleaning does suck.

  2. Thanks Terri!LOL! It’s nice to know someone understands. 🙂 Jordan
