Today is Mum’s birthday. It’s hard being so far away from family that you miss these wonderful milestones. In today’s world it is difficult to live near family and hope to get a decent paying job. I’m not sure why this is the case, but it seems to be more common than not. And goodness forbid you actually want to do something out of the norm with your life, then the chances drop to nada. I sometimes wonder if the price paid is worth it.
