It’s always a fine line to walk between expectations and the journey it takes to reach them. The older I get the more I try to temper my expectations. I suppose it’s to avoid disappointment. Not that it really does, when things don’t work out the way you want them. Funny that.
I sometimes wish I could go back to the way it was when I was a kid. You know the days when you allowed all your excitement to bubble over, infecting those around you. I know the disappointments were just as hard to take back then, if not more so. But it never stopped me from anticipating the best possible outcome. I truly was an optimist to the end.
Hmm…I think I smell a resolution coming on. ![]()
