It’s amazing when you start out in this crazy business known as writing you think that your biggest worry is actually writing the book. Oh, how I wish that this was true. Unfortunately that’s not the case. You then have to worry about finding a home for your work. If you’re lucky you’ll find a place where it will be appreciated.
This sentiment got me thinking. Is it really luck? I’m one of those people that use that word freely, but I don’t actually believe in luck or coincidences. I think timing can be good, but only if it’s backed with hard work.
Like my dh’s Scottish grandma used to say, “What’s for you won’t go by you.”
