Today’s message goes out to a man who means the world to me. He is my father-in-law Jim. When my dh and I were first married I had hoped to get along with his family. The last thing I imagined was that I would be immediately greeted as one of the clan and taken into their fold.
There are so many wonderful things I can say about Jim. He has a fantastic sense of humor and a smashing sense of adventure. He marches to the beat of his own drum. He loves the sea with a passion and steers his family like a true patriarch. In his marriage, he leads by example, showing everyone what true love really is.
He is kind, open, and makes me proud to call him dad. For that alone, I wish him a very Happy 69th Birthday! We love you.
