To my fans…

I wanted to send a note of apology to anyone who happened to be on the EC chat list yesterday and came back today to find it gone.

As an author I was not made aware such actions were going to transpire. I’m sorry if it has caused anyone harm or emotional distress.

It is my understanding two new groups have started up to take its place. One is (Enable Javascript to see the email address) and the other is Once again, I’m sorry for the confusion this action has caused. Best regards, Jordan

Never Fast Enough

Have you ever noticed how your favorite authors can’t seem to write fast enough? It doesn’t matter if the author is prolific or writes one book every other year. You want the book yesterday.

You’d think I’d be understanding and sympathetic, but just because I write for a living doesn’t mean as a reader I’m any different. I still wait with bated breath for several authors’ next releases. It’s one of the few times I’m grateful for being a slow reader. It also helps that the authors I’m fond of whip out several books a year. Come to think of it, shouldn’t Dara Joy have a new novel out by now? 😉

I was speaking with a friend today and he said I don’t put enough about what is happening in my life on the site. And here I thought that was all I was doing. 😉

So I guess I’ll fill everyone in who hasn’t stopped by for a while.

Last month I received a call from Kensington offering me a three-novella book deal with a single title option. I’m currently hard at work writing the second novella for this deal. It’s over half way finished and looking good, albeit a tad quirky.

My in-laws are currently in town visiting from Scotland. We’re having a marvelous time. Other than that, I’m just waiting to receive my contract from my agent. Everything is rolling along. As soon as I have more information about the Kensington Brava books, I’ll post it here. Until next time…enjoy the sunshine.

Online Chats…

I attended an online chat tonight hosted by Karen Simpson. She does a wonderful of job of getting new releases announced to her group and of introducing authors to readers.

I just wanted to say thank you to Karen for inviting me. I didn’t know the ropes. (Still don’t.) I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people who participated, but you made me feel welcome and you ran the chat like a professional. Thank you again for inviting me.

This is the first year I’ve been involved in the planning of my local chapter’s conference. It’s truly been an eye opening experience. You never really know how much work goes into planning one of these events until you see behind the scenes. I have a newfound respect for the women and men who volunteer for several of the committees. Hats off to you all. I honestly don’t know how you do it and retain your full head of hair.

Lazy Sunday…

It is a lazy Sunday around the Summers’ household. The weather is glorious. We have nothing to do, but go lay by the pool. I don’t often spend days doing nothing, but I think every once in a while it’s good for the soul. You simply kick back, put your feet up and watch the day trickle by like a lazy river. Everyone should try it at least once…or twice…or perhaps a few times in their life. Enjoy your day. I’m off to the pool.

Today is Mum and Dad’s 40th Wedding Anniversary!

All I can say is wow! We went out and had a lovely dinner at the Melting Pot. It was a glorious evening and we wish them forty more. Happy Anniversary!
