Online Chats…

I attended an online chat tonight hosted by Karen Simpson. She does a wonderful of job of getting new releases announced to her group and of introducing authors to readers.

I just wanted to say thank you to Karen for inviting me. I didn’t know the ropes. (Still don’t.) I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people who participated, but you made me feel welcome and you ran the chat like a professional. Thank you again for inviting me.

Conferences…

This is the first year I’ve been involved in the planning of my local chapter’s conference. It’s truly been an eye opening experience. You never really know how much work goes into planning one of these events until you see behind the scenes. I have a newfound respect for the women and men who volunteer for several of the committees. Hats off to you all. I honestly don’t know how you do it and retain your full head of hair.

Lazy Sunday…

It is a lazy Sunday around the Summers’ household. The weather is glorious. We have nothing to do, but go lay by the pool. I don’t often spend days doing nothing, but I think every once in a while it’s good for the soul. You simply kick back, put your feet up and watch the day trickle by like a lazy river. Everyone should try it at least once…or twice…or perhaps a few times in their life. Enjoy your day. I’m off to the pool.

Today is Mum and Dad’s 40th Wedding Anniversary!

All I can say is wow! We went out and had a lovely dinner at the Melting Pot. It was a glorious evening and we wish them forty more. Happy Anniversary!

In-Laws

I’ve heard horror stories from various people about their in-laws. I do understand how intimidating these particular people can be. You worry about if you’ll measure up. Whether they’ll like you or not. The truth is it’s a crap shoot.

In this particular game of chance I got VERY, VERY lucky. I love my in-laws and not just because they may end up reading my blog. :-) They are genuinely nice people who are fun to hang out with. Which I suppose is a good thing, considering they’ll be coming for a visit tomorrow.
