Well I went to the Brava Author chat tonight. Not that I don’t like the attention, but I was the only Brava author there. To make a slow night worse, I kept getting booted off the chat site, until I finally gave up. (Sigh) Oh well, there’s always next month.

I went to see Van Helsing last night. It was enjoyable enough. A bit over the top. The biggest hitch I see about the film is the choices the writer made about one of the main characters. I won’t go into detail, because I don’t want to spoil the movie for those who haven’t seen it yet. Tomorrow we’re off to see Kill Bill 2. Next up will be Troy and Shrek 2.
I have a release date for my second Kensington Brava novella. It’ll come out in April 2005. I’ve been given a tentative title, but can’t announce it until it’s been confirmed. I will keep you posted. In the meantime, please check out the newly added unedited excerpt on my Books page.
Picture me jumping up and down like a little kid here. I am so excited to see this movie. My fingers and toes are crossed that my dh can get off work in time for us to catch the early show.
I received good news today. My editor likes my hypnosis story and it’ll be coming out in April of next year. Yeah!
I know I can’t be the only one looking forward to this movie. I really hope it’s entertaining. It’s from the same guy who brought us the Mummy movies. (I dug them so much.) I just hope he can pull off the same kind of action adventure, while still having his tongue firmly planted in his cheek.
Oh, and it doesn’t hurt that Hugh Jackman is Van Helsing. Two more days til it hits the theaters.
The older I get the stranger friendships seem to become. Do you remember when you were young you and made friends quickly? It could be over as little as having the same colored jump rope. Oh, the good ol’ days…
Now, you better have the ability to double-dutch, if you want to maintain friendships. I’m sure a lot of the problem is how busy life is these days. Everyone has their own family to take care of, there’s not as much time for socializing, and let us not forget work.
Friendship seems to have taken on many unspoken rules. This is difficult for those of us who need things spelled out, before we get it. Then there are those friends who seem to disappear for months on end, only to suddenly pop up when we least expect it. What’s up with that?
All the uncertainty makes me appreciate the ones who are there, unwavering in their love and support. You all know who you are. Until next time, hold your friends close and your enemies even closer.
That could have been the headlines if the authorities in Tunica, Mississippi arrested my mother for taking photos of my aunt while she played on the slot machines. Now you have to know these two fiesty women to appreciate this possible headline. They are members of the Red Hat Society, so that should explain much. (If you haven’t heard of this group, you definitely have to look them up.) The group is currently on a tour in the South. I suggest New Orleans brace itself now before they get there. ![]()
