Well I sent off my contemporary cowboy partial to my agent. Fingers crossed Kensington is interested in the story. I think it’s one of my sexier reads and definitely more emotional. The characters in this book have quite a past together–not all of it pleasant. I’ll keep you posted on its progress.

What’s the deal with cell phone minutes? Is it just me, or do they seem to get sucked into a whirlpool of nothingness when you get down to the last few dollars worth? I’m convinced they disappear faster than quarters do in Vegas.
I wish losing weight was as easy as putting it on. I think there’s something VERY wrong with this scenario. My dh and I have been on the Atkin’s induction diet this past week. Yes, I said a week.
We’ve been on various forms of the Atkins diet before, but this is the first time it’s actually worked. By worked, I mean I’m losing weight. It’s odd that in order for this diet to work for dh and I, we have to drop carbs down to 20 grams a day. So for everyone out there who’s ever been frustrated with a diet, hang in there. You will find something that works for you, too.
I cannot begin to tell you how useful this book is if you want to expand your writing abilities. I heard Donald Maass speak at my local conference a few months and ago and was floored by the ideas his questions generated. I’m now reading through his book and I must say I am NOT disappointed. This book should be mandatory reading for any writer, no matter what stage you’re at in your career.
I’m not sure if you all have heard about this show, but I used to watch it on the BBC America channel. Graham Norton is the host of a zany and wildly outrageous show airing Thursday nights on Comedy Central. (Tonight is the premiere.) He has celebrity guests and does a lot of interaction with his audience. Mostly embarrassing things. It’s utterly hilarious. His British humor is over the top. If you get a chance to check it out, do.
Hi All, I just found out the name of my new Kensington Brava anthology. It’ll be called Bad Boys Over Easy with Erin McCarthy and Jen Nicholas. My contribution will be a story called Mesmerized. If you want a sneak peek at the story go to my Books page, where I have an excerpt and the new cover.
Today is Mum’s birthday. Although my dh and I can’t be there to share this special day with her, she’s in our thoughts. We wish her many more birthdays to come and hope we can get across the pond to see her soon. Happy Birthday, Mum!
I’m fortunate enough to have two fathers. One who raised me and the other who welcomed me into the family after I married his son. These two men couldn’t be more different. Yet, they both fill vital positions in my life. I’m beyond grateful to have them and hope they’re around for many more years to come. Happy Father’s Day to my two dads.
Today is my mom’s birthday. I wish I could have been with her to celebrate. She went out with the Red Hat Ladies Society to a winery, so I believe she had a very good time.
Happy Birthday Mom! I love you.
Today is my friend Allie’s birthday! She’s as busy as a beaver on logging day, but I’m hoping she takes some time to celebrate. It’s important to mark milestones big and small. I’m raising a glass of tea in her honor as I type this. (Pretty talented, eh? LOL!)
Happy Birthday, A!
