Bombshell Chat

Wow! I attended the Bombshell chat tonight and ended up winning a book. You gotta love that. I will have to get the transcripts so I can see what questions were asked of the authors and editors. I’m truly curious where they’re planning to take the line. I’m also looking forward to the new romance line from Tor.

Today is my niece’s 14th birthday!

I’m still trying to digest this knowledge and get the picture of her running around in diapers out of my mind. Gosh, I feel old.

I remember fourteen so vividly. It was such a year of extreme highs and extreme lows. Of course at that age, there is nothing in between. That was the year I met the boy who would eventually break my heart into a million pieces. Man, I was crazy about him. Oh, fourteen…LOL! We later became good friends. It reminds me of that song ‘Strawberry Wine’.

I hope my niece enjoys this age and appreciates it as much as any kid can. Happy Birthday, E!

Once More Into the Mail…

I’ve made the changes my agent suggested to my contemporary cowboy novella, so it’s back into the mail it goes tomorrow. Fingers, toes, and eyes crossed it’s met with open arms or better yet, open pocketbooks. Next I’m going to finish a chapter and a half for a contemporary novel that’s tone is much like ‘Sex in the City’. Move over Samantha, Lucy’s on her way.

I’m so excited.

I received the backcover blurb to ‘Bad Boys Over Easy’ today. I must say it’s wonderful. The lovely woman at Kensington has outdone herself this time around. I cannot wait to see this book on the shelves. It seems like such a long time to wait, but I know the time will fly.

On another note, you should check out Alison Kent’s new site. She’s updated it and added a bunch of fun links. You can find the site at www.alisonkent.com. Also check out Sasha White’s Diary/Blog. She’s fun and brutally honest. It’s terrific and quite refreshing. You can find her site at www.sashawhite.net.

Fourth of July

Well I hope everyone survived the Fourth. Dh and I decided to stay in for the evening. The crowds, heat, and traffic don’t do a lot for our patriotic spirits.

Can you believe it’s July already? Where has the year gone? Wow! I was staring at the calendar in February and then I blinked and it was July. Whew! I better keep my eyes wide open or the next thing I know it’ll be Christmas. :-/

It’s Official! The Lori Foster/Kensington Brava Contest has launched!

Yep, you’re seeing right. Kensington Brava and Lori Foster are at it again. The contest that launched my career and many others is happening once more. I cannot say enough good things about this contest. (And no, it’s not because I’m the 2003 Lori Foster/Kensington Brava Winner.) It’s a wonderful opportunity for writers to get their foot in the door. Please check out www.lorifoster.com for details. Good luck!
