Brava Entries

Well I received my section of the Brava entries. I’ve read through them and must say the entrants made my decision hard. I wish everyone who entered much luck. September is right around the corner. Hang in there. I know EXACTLY how you all feel.

  1. Just wondering….do you get to pass on only one, ie your favorite, or as many as you think are “worthy” for Lori’s consideration. Gee, can you tell I submitted an excerpt and am wondering how this all works?

  2. Helen,

We can pass on as many as we’d like Lori to look at. I can’t imagine having to pick just one. LOL! Oh my goodness, no way!

  3. Well, just in case mine is in your stack, I say make it easier on yourself and send ALL of your entires to Lori for consideration :)

  4. LOL! Poor Lori would be up to her eyeballs trying to pick if I did that. ;-)

  5. Can I ask how many entries you got to read? And also . . .Will the authors of the ones that DON’T get sent on to Lori be notified right away? Or do we wait until Lori posts her faves and just see if ours is one of them?

I’m not even sure if it’s a good to ask. LOL But all I know id the ones that Lori like will be posted around the end of Oct. So I’m a bit curious.

It’s nice to know that you enjoyed them and that the decision was hard. *g*

  6. Ooops, Sorry about the typos! *blush*

  7. Hey Sasha,

To be honest, I’m not sure how many I had to read. I didn’t count them. I’m thinking at least twenty. The entries are randomly divided amongst six(?) of us. As you might imagine, there were a lot of entries. If my group is any indication, there are quite a few good ones.

To my knowledge, the only announcements that will transpire are the ones Lori will make. It’s going to take a while before all the reader/judges get their choices to Lori. So expect the contest to follow the timeline that was designated in the contest rules. Hang in there. I know the wait is difficult.

  8. Just making sure…you judged blind, didn’t you? By that I mean that the entries didn’t have names on them, did they?

  9. Kim, That’s correct. There were no names, only titles and numbers. :-) I really enjoyed the stories and wish there could be several winners.
