I’ve decided with my next project to try something new. I’m going to write scenes as they come to me and file them all into one folder. When I have several, then I’m going to piece them together into a book. We’ll see if it works.
On a triumphant note, author Sylvia Day just finaled in the Lori Foster/Kensington Brava contest. Congrats Sylvia!

Thank you, Jordan!!
That’s a great idea you have about the folder. Much better than my method of using Word’s page break, typing the scene out really fast, and then skipping around it until it fits! LOL
Keep me posted.

by Jordan September 7th, 2004 at 9:24 pmI’ve been known to do that when I find myself stuck at a spot inthe ms. It helps me keep going. A couple of other writer I know do their complete ms out of order. So give it a try, it mught just fit with you!
Let us know how it works!
by Sasha September 8th, 2004 at 11:45 amSasha, I’m one of those writers who have to know where the story starts and ends. If I can figure that out then the rest seems to fall into place. I’m not sure if I could write a story by piecing together scenes, but it’s worth a try. I’ve been battling with a semi-chicklit story. (1st person POV) I finally figured out how the book will end. Now all I have to do is pick the best path of storytelling. I’ll keep you posted.
by Jordan September 8th, 2004 at 12:05 pmI admire your ability to write in 1st person POV. I don’t have the talent, but I really wish I did.
by Sylvia Day September 8th, 2004 at 11:44 pmSylvia, I didn’t say I have the talent, just that I’m going to try it. LOL!
