Am I the only who’s shocked it’s already December? Where has this year gone? They say when you get older time flies, but I don’t really believe that. I think it’s our awareness of time that’s acute.
Thanks to a couple of dear friends I’ve been having a field day at Barnes & Noble. Yep, you guessed it. They gave me gift cards. I’m so bad. They’re worse than cash in my possession. Talk about burning a hole in my pocket. LOL!
I just picked up Alison Kent’s ‘The Bane Affair’, ‘Stolen’ by Kelley Armstrong, ‘Tempting Danger’ by Eileen Wilks, and ‘Lord of Seduction’ by Nicole Jordan. I can’t wait to dig into these jewels.
I’m making myself wait until I finish my two partials. Talk about incentive!
December 3rd, 2004

Oh, I’m all for incentive! I ordered a bunch of books from B&N, which I’ve refused to touch until I was free to enjoy them. It’s actully very good motivation.
by Sylvia Day December 3rd, 2004 at 11:58 pmSylvia, It is, isn’t it? I know I’m chomping at the bit to get at these books. I cannot wait.
by Jordan December 4th, 2004 at 12:41 pmI do the same thing! LOL
by Sasha December 4th, 2004 at 1:05 pmI enjoyed Bitten better than Stolen, but, Stolen is needed to get into her next ones, Dime Store MArgic ANd INdustrial Magic. Industrial Magic is on my TBR pile as inspiration right now. LOL
No, I sure can’t believe it’s december and I hate to say this, but I’m a big scrooge. I don’t enjoy the holidays at all. Next year we’re doing disney world or vegas in lieu of presents =(
by cece December 5th, 2004 at 8:46 amAnd last year my youngest son goes, “Mom, how come the writing on that gift from Santa looks like yours?” I didn’t lie. =)
by cece December 5th, 2004 at 8:47 amI’m torn by the holidays myself. I think the season is lovely, but the buy, buy, buy thing drives me insane. :-S I think I long for a simplier time/simplier celebration. At some point, I’ll probably suggest homemade gifts or a donation to charity in lieu of regular gifts.
by Jordan December 5th, 2004 at 9:20 amI’m so not ready for Christmas. But I have to get motivated. I have packages to mail overseas.
by Teresa December 7th, 2004 at 3:04 pmI’m with you Jordan!! And I’ll admit I’ve gotten lazy about buying (giftcards anyone?) and i’m not at all creative (except webstuff and writing). I’m definitely gonna make the kids do some charity thing with me (little heathens).
by Cece December 8th, 2004 at 5:49 amTeresa, I hear you on the mailing overseas. This is the first year I won’t have to do that and it’s only because I’m going over for the holidays.

Cece, I don’t blame you. I’ve been lazy too. It doesn’t help that I’m reeling over the cost of a recent post office visit. It should not cost $70 to mail out X-mas cards and five small to medium sized packages. I think I might suggest a donation to a charitable organization in the upcoming years.
*Slapping forehead*
