Dream, I was hoping it would be easier than it initially seems. Yikes! My brain is already doing the questioning and I haven’t really started yet. :-/

Cece, I actually have only a tiny bit to change in the first partial (ie the addition of a plot point I removed to fit the shorter confines). Other than that, both are ready to write forward on. I’m just trying to get over the mental resistance of originally thinking they were meant to be short.

as for converting, I can’t even convert inches to metric units so I’m absolutely no help =( HOWEVER I think it’s good that they’re just partials. That gives you less to convert, right?

Jordan, last year I decided to convert a 120-page novella into a short category-romance. I only needed 100 extra pages, & had plenty of plot.

It was one of the hardest writing exercises I’ve ever tackled! Seemed like my brain just kept saying, “what are you doing? why are we wasting time like this? the thing’s already finished!”

I did (finally) get it done.
It was also rejected.
