Thanks Sasha & Chey! I always LOVE hearing personal recommendations. Maybe they got the bugs in the system worked out. I’m not going to do anything until I find out how much we owe on taxes and I’ve returned from RT. I don’t plan to write while I’m at the latter, only take notes. See you in a few, Chey.

I love my Neo (the younger cousin to Dana :-). Absolutely love it when I’m writing new manuscripts. It keeps me from self-editing myself and lets me just free-flow. I had an Alpha Smart before the Neo, but my kids us it to do their reports on. When my oldest had shoulder surgery, he used it to take notes in class–was easier for him to use than writing left handed. LOL. It’s also so light and portable you can take it absolutely anywhere. I love mine!

The Dana has internet but the Neo doesn’t. Although the Neo has a bigger screen. I’ve only had it about a month or so now, but no problems yet!

Cece, Have you heard of people having problems with the Dana now? Also, where’s the message board…asks the person who’s trying to cut her online time, while at the same time creating a sink hole? LOL!

JOrdan i wish I’d waited six months and gotten the one with the bigger screen but I’m perfectly happy with mine (a 3000). I think it was Monica who got a Dana right after it came out and has had problems with it. They have a great message board BTW for alpha smart users.

I think it’s a matter of making priorities. I love to keep up with friends. I prioritize blogs by the ones that have a positive impact on my life.

Cece, I actually want whichever one has the most screen space and best lighting. I know the Dana can pick up emails (or am I confusing it with the Neo?), but I doubt I’d surf on it. I don’t want to mess with the wireless networks outside of my home.

Patrice, I never thought about that, although I’m fairly paranoid about theft. I want something light that I can knock around. I’ve heard these things are ‘kid’ tested, which is always a good sign. I work on my PC at home, not my laptop. (Which is why I surf, surf, surf.) In fact, I’m going to have to toss my laptop because the battery no longer holds a charge.
