Off and Running

I’m currently getting my normal intake of coffee (must function) and having my breakfast. I’ll be off to the gym afterwards and then onto the grocery store. Exciting, I know. I have this deal with my body. I don’t force it to go to the gym until I’ve given it the appropriate amount of coffee. Sure, it sounds like a bribe, but it’s the only thing that gets me there three days a week.

I’m getting a Tarot reading when I return home, so I’m kind of excited. It’s been a while since I’ve had one and I believe with all that’s happening I’m due. Hopefully my friend doing the reading will have some insight. I’m actually extremely hard to read. I tend to be ‘stronger’ than the reader nine times out of ten. Make of that what you will. (wg) Going to get to work in the afternoon no matter how painful the prospect. *g* Have a great weekend everyone.

  1. Now I want to know how your reading went!

  2. Charlene, It actually went well. It was pretty accurate in describing what’s going on in my life right now. Especially the things I’ve been feeling. Lots of changes ahead, but they’re good, so I’m pleased. 🙂

  3. Since you are so hard to “read,” have you ever tried to do your own readings? Nothing fancy like the Celtic Cross throw. Maybe something simple like a one-card pick out from the Major Arcana only to see where you are in your journey?

  4. Silma, Yes, I have and the cards come out like I’m playing a game of 52 pickup. (wg)

  5. Silma, The only cards I have that are even remotely accurate on me are my Goddess cards. They tend to pick up underlying issues, but not outcomes.

  6. I had my tarot done earlier this week. I’m already quite spiritual, so they can “do” me fairly well. It was good, sound, impartial advice confirming everything I’d pretty much told myself anyway, but it’s always good to get that confirmation, isn’t it? Plus, the stuff I didn’t mention to him that he came back with – that was spooky.

  7. Diane, I’ve only had one person freak me out and she didn’t read cards. The lady was like a radio antenna and just rocked back and forth, then blurted out info that there’s NO WAY she could’ve known. We’re talking names, geographical locations, etc. She even told me when I’d meet my dh and how. She said we’d be engaged quickly. She said I’d be going to London, which I dismissed because I didn’t even have a passport at the time. She named my future sister-in-law. I thought she was out of her mind. Silly me. Blush. It was quite interesting.

This reading was different, but confirmed what was going on at present in my life. It was just nice that there was a light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. 🙂

  8. Sounds like it was a good reading, Jordyn. I’ve never had one done, always wanted to but I’m nervous about it. I have my own deck that was given to me a few years back by a friend. I played with them a bit then put them away, deciding it wasn’t the right time for me. They’ll be there when I’m ready.

  9. I won a reading from The Midnight Hour when Naomi Neale was guestblogging just this week. It was a lot of fun, and me being a natural-born skeptic, it was scarily accurate, especially as all Naomi did was draw my name from the comments, and do a layout.

  10. Cathryn, I’ve always been drawn to the cards. I later found out that I have three generations of readers in my family. Didn’t know it. Thought I was the only one. *ggg* You’ll know when the time is right.

  11. May, Congrats on the win. I’m extremely skeptical too, which is why I don’t tend to ‘assist’ a tarot reader when they do my cards. (wg)

  12. hi..

    help

  13. Eimee, The only thing I can say is go to the store and see what appeals to you. Picking out a computer for personal use is a lot like picking out a purse. Not all of them are going to appeal to everyone. 🙂 Good luck!
