Dh and I went to our first official private Pilates class last night. Muscles strained and quaked. Burning started in my hip and worked its way down my leg and that was just getting on the machine. *ggg* We could hardly walk when we left an hour later. It really makes me wonder what I’m doing at the gym three days a week. It was as if I’d NEVER worked out. Truly pathetic.
Today, I’m back to the neverending story. I guess I should be happy that at least it’s progressing. I think I’m going to head off to a coffee shop and work there. Not that I have to worry about being distracted by emails, since mine are currently malfunctioning. Sigh. So if you’ve written me and I haven’t gotten back to you there’s a very good possibility that I NEVER received your mail. Hopefully dh can fix the problem tonight.
My ‘To Do’ list is growing by leaps and bounds. I need to order copies of Exodus, now that the paperback is out. I want to join Novelist Inc. and can’t without a copy of that book. The Somewhere in Time paperback comes out at the end of this month. I am turning in the contracts for the Phantom Warriors this week. Hopefully it won’t take too long to get those back. I also plan to sign up for RWAOnline, Publisher’s Marketplace, and PASIC. I’m trying to change some of the lists I belong to and venture outside of romance a bit. I don’t plan on abandoning my roots, but I would like to expand my horizons.
Well I’d better get to it. Hope everyone is having a productive week. It looks like a lot of authors are going into hibernation mode in order to get some work done. I must do the same. Peace and Warm Brownies, J.

Hey Jordan! MMMM, warm brownies….
by Vivi Anna April 4th, 2006 at 1:45 pmHell Kat is out and about and doing well I hear..so I’m a happy camper. Got a great quote from Gena Showalter, whom I worship… “White-hot, thrilling, this book packs a delicious punch. Gena Showalter, author of Enslave Me Sweetly
When you say Pilot class, do you mean flying lessons? You’re gonna fly a plane? Wow. You couldn’t get me in one of those for a trillion bucks. You GO girl.
by shesawriter April 4th, 2006 at 3:43 pmVivi Anna, Congrats on Hell Kat and the quote. I like Gena’s work too.
by Jordan April 4th, 2006 at 4:48 pmShesawriter, Gosh, did I say pilot class? Talk about a slip of the tongue. Blush. No, I’m talking about an exercise class. As for flying, I did that for fourteen years, BUT I was in the cabin as a flight attendant. (wg)
by Jordan April 4th, 2006 at 4:50 pmI’m trying to be productive. Really I am. I downloaded a lot of music to put me in the mood. Hmm… My head is too…elsewhere… I’ve got this title in my head, but I can’t seem to match it with anything I’ve written. Ugh!
by Silma April 4th, 2006 at 7:54 pmHang in there, Silma. You’ll find something that meshes soon.
by Jordan April 4th, 2006 at 8:07 pmHey Jordan! I’ve never doen Pilates, but will have t try it. I just started a deep water excercise class once a week. It’s quite fun and a decent workout. If you like being in the water you should give it a try.
by Sasha April 5th, 2006 at 2:12 amYour muscles ached and quaked just getting on the machines? Mine would have started by just walking through the door. *gg*
Warm brownies - I could use those just about now. Good luck on the writing - mine has been shelved again for at least a few days.
by Eve April 5th, 2006 at 5:49 amI have a similar to-do list that won’t go away! Good luck with yours. Look forward to seeing you over at PASIC. It’s a great group!
by Amy April 5th, 2006 at 7:03 amSasha, That class sounds fun. I’d have to find a place that does that sort of thing.
by Jordan April 5th, 2006 at 10:55 amEve, LOL! Good luck with that manuscript.
by Jordan April 5th, 2006 at 10:55 amThanks Amy! Here’s hoping PASIC allows me to join.
by Jordan April 5th, 2006 at 10:56 amI heard the magic words…
“Warm brownies…
by raine April 5th, 2006 at 5:47 pmI just came out of hibernation when I heard there were warm brownies here ***looking around***. I NEED some warm brownies. Because I was crazy enough to think that three books a year is doable. Yeah, sure, if I don’t mind going bald from pulling my hair out….warm brownies…got to find some….
by Gennita Low April 5th, 2006 at 8:50 pmWarm brownies. *Sob* You sadist.
by PBW April 5th, 2006 at 9:37 pmHibernation mode says it well! I’ve spent today catching up on crap that I haven’t done due to being in that mode. Not to mention other stuff, like cancelling all our credit and debit cards for unauthorized use…but that’s another story. I need a massage and a great big drink!
by Cheyenne McCray April 5th, 2006 at 9:50 pmRaine, Not just warm, but gooey. (wg)
by Jordan April 5th, 2006 at 10:28 pmGennita, I’ll mail you some hair tonic after I take the brownies out of the oven.
If it makes you feel any better, I REALLY, REALLY appreciate all your hard work. *g* Can’t wait for those books to come out.
by Jordan April 5th, 2006 at 10:30 pmPBW, LMAO!
by Jordan April 5th, 2006 at 10:30 pmChey, (((Hugs))) You do need the warm brownies and the drink. Hang in there. We had to do that with one of the accounts recently. It’s NOT fun.
by Jordan April 5th, 2006 at 10:31 pmJust the mere mention of warm brownies yanked me right out of forced hibernation, Jordan. LOL I say forced because I struggle to restrain myself from the very pleasant and time-gobbling pastime of blog-hopping every so often to get some writing and editing done. As for Pilates, I love the results but dread actually doing the exercises on my machine, especially if I’ve been away from it for a while. I just got back to Curves after a long absence and, while I can feel the benefits, it’s about killing me! LOL
by Daisy Dexter Dobbs April 6th, 2006 at 9:11 amDaisy, That’s the weird thing here. I go to a Curves equivalent gym and have been attending three days a week since the end of Nov. When I do Pilates it’s as if I’ve never worked out a day in my life. :-/
by Jordan April 6th, 2006 at 10:15 amJordan!
Don’t quit Pilates..I lost over 30 inches that way.
They should have had you modify the exercises…no way should you have been that shakey.
Modify, Modify, Modify.
by Rebecca April 9th, 2006 at 4:38 pmWow Rebecca! That’s encouraging. I didn’t really get the modify speech. I did get the quit when it gets too intense speech.
