I just found out that Cherry Adair is coming out with a new series based on the Edge brothers. Apparently, the publisher plans to release them in much the same way Allison Brennan’s books were released, one every month for three months. It’ll start with Edge of Danger in June. That book will be followed by Edge of Fear and Edge of Darkness. To be released in July and August respectively. What’s different about this series? Cherry combines her trademark special ops guys with paranormal elements. Should be interesting.
I’m also really looking forward to Shiloh Walker’s Hunting the Hunter and Megan’s Mark by Lora Leigh. I’ve followed Shiloh’s Hunter series and Lora’s Breed series at Ellora’s Cave. If you haven’t managed to pick any of their books up, you’re missing out. They’re both in the Hot Spell anthology. Go forth now and purchase. It’s good fun.
Those are the books I’m excited about. Now here are the books I’m curious about: Blood Ties Bk. One: The Turning by Jennifer Armintrout and Touch of Dark by Karen Chance. I don’t know anything about either one of these authors, but their books sound intriguing.
What books are you curious about?

I’m a fan of romantic comedy and time travel, primarily, and gobble those up like crazy. However, I’m looking forward to stepping outside of my usual reading parameters to broaden my horizons a bit. I’m intrigued by some of the erotic romances that have caught my eye featuring dark fantasy, vampires, shape shifters, werewolves, etc., simply because I’ve never read any before. I really want to see what all the hoopla and attraction is about vampire romance.
by Daisy Dexter Dobbs April 28th, 2006 at 10:30 amThe book I really want to read is Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch (fantasy and first novel).
by May April 28th, 2006 at 10:36 amOoooh… so many good books (it’s like a mental orgasm), but so few bucks to buy them with.
by Silma April 28th, 2006 at 12:09 pmDaisy, I think you’ll like the books out there. Lots of good ones to choose from. I read action/adventures and urban fantasies now to shake things up. I’m loving both.
It’s a nice change.
by Jordan April 28th, 2006 at 12:31 pmMay, I haven’t heard of that book. What’s it about?
by Jordan April 28th, 2006 at 12:36 pmSilma, I hear you. There’s never enough money to buy all the books I want. LOL!
by Jordan April 28th, 2006 at 12:36 pmJordan, I’m looking forward to Shi’s and Lora’s books too. It’s a hoot to read books from authors that started in ebooks not long before I did.
by Vivi Anna April 28th, 2006 at 2:43 pmAnne Frasier’s Pale Immortal. The promo she has going for it has really intrigued me.
by Eve April 28th, 2006 at 3:27 pmYeah Vivi, I’ll take their books in any form that I can get them.
by Jordan April 28th, 2006 at 5:44 pmEve, Yep, I agree. Her promo is definitely enticing.
by Jordan April 28th, 2006 at 5:45 pmSadly, between writing, working, three kids, and surgery coming up, my reading time is dwindling. But I am still looking for that “ocean” book! I’ve heard good things about it.
by CJ April 29th, 2006 at 6:43 amI’m looking forward to No Rest for the Wicked (Kresley Cole), the next Anita Blake book, Lois McMaster Bujold’s The Sharing Knife. There’s lots more but that’s a very short list. *g* Shiloh and Lora’s books go without saying!
by Charlene April 29th, 2006 at 7:05 amCJ, I hope the surgery goes well and that you’re back on your feet ASAP. I’m afraid you might be looking for a while for that ocean book. *ggg*
by Jordan April 29th, 2006 at 8:51 amCharlene, There are so many good books out there. I wish I read as fast as they were released. *g* Someone suggested buying three crap ones so that they’re always close by to remind you of why you write. LOL! I may have to look into that. In the meantime, I read a cute little story last night called A Wolf in Cheap Clothing. I really must find the author and compliment her. (wg)
by Jordan April 29th, 2006 at 8:58 amYou liked Wolf In Cheap Clothing? Squee! *g*
