Survived First Day of Fitness Bootcamp

Okay, who was it that thought fitness bootcamp would be a good idea??? Anyone? Oh yeah, it was me. What the f&#$ was I thinking? LOL! All I have to say is that it’s sad when you have trouble doing the warm-up day. (Shaking head) Eleven more classes to go. No, I’m not counting. *g*

I returned home after a nice breakfast with dh and decided to do a language lesson. Something about keeping the blood flowing to the brain so that I don’t pass out and go back to bed. Oh, bed…picture Homer Simpson drooling here. I finished thirty minutes of Japanese. This is the first Japanese language class that I’ve taken. Let us hope I get a lot better. *ggg*

Had a major breakthrough on the book last week. I took the time to read through the pages I’d already written. The simple act of doing that triggered the missing pieces. I was able to chart out the rest of the novel. (Yes, I had it charted out before I started, but the book changed on me midway, so I had to update the bullet points.) I have now tied everything together story and character wise. You have no idea how happy this makes me. If all goes well, I should have the first draft complete in three weeks. YAH!!! With that said, I’d better get to work. May your week be productive too. :)

  1. I saw that ad for BOOTCAMP! I also saw the words “KICKBOXING”–there is NO WAY I can turn my leg at that angle and get it THAT HIGH UP IN THE AIR without permanent injury. Bless you for trying. Of course, I have a few years on you, too– so maybe YOUR legs can still do that.. hang in there.. it sounded like..?? fun??? maybe?? I liked that it was OUTDOORS!! Maybe they’ll start a “SLOW” (remedial!) class for us baby boomers!!

  2. Cheering you on for the rest of bootcamp!! Just think, you will feel the results soon…then it will be so much easier ;)

  3. Maddie, I wish they had a remedial class. Goodness knows I could use it. I couldn’t do half the things they asked, which is ALWAYS encouraging. *ggg* But, I will stick with it.

  4. Thanks Saskia! I sure hope you’re right. (wg)

  5. Ouch! I hurt just thinking about it. Good going Jordan - you’re doing something that I just don’t have the motivation or energy to do, even though I need it badly.

  6. Eve, If you knew me well, you’d realize I lack both those things. LMAO!

  7. I now feel like a mega slug

  8. I now feel like a mega slug

  9. I now feel like a mega slug

This word verfication thing isn’t working right for me.

  10. Jordan - obviously you don’t or you wouldn’t be doing this. Take pride in that.

  11. Bootcamp! You brave brave woman. I bet it’ll pay off. *g*

Happy to hear you’ve got your plan all worked out for the book. Go, write!

  12. Danica, Sorry you’re having problems with the code. :( I don’t think you’re a slug.

  13. Thanks Eve.

  14. Charlene, I sure as hell hope so. LOL! I’m going. I’m going. ;-)

  15. Go Jordan, Go Jordan, *dances* Keep it up!!

And, I took Japenese when I was getting read to train in Japan! I thought was easy to learn…then again, everythign was easy ten years ago! LOL

  16. Jordan, you’re a hard-workin’ woman. *g*

  17. Sasha, I’m taking Japanese because we’re thinking about a trip there. So far, I’m not thinking it’s as easy as say Spanish, but I’m sure I’ll hit the ‘See Dick Run’ stage before we go.

  18. Raine, I’m a sore woman this morning.

  19. *lol* You were asking for some punishment when you signed up for that bootcamp. Nah, seriously, it’ll get easier. You’ll see. Yayy on the breakthrough! I had a few myself this weekend while surfing the web. I didn’t find what I was looking for, but I found tonz of good info on things related to my WIPs. *lol*

  20. If I remember correctly, I thouhg it was easy because it was easy to rad. As in when the Japanese words are written with enghlish letter (an not characters) tht the words actually soundd the way they were spelled. Unlike alot of our own language. LOl Once I hade the Basics (see dck run) I felt fairly comfortable withmy guide book with me. LOL
LIke I said though, it was 10 years- ok 12 years ago. LOL

  21. But just think of the results at the end of Bootcamp!! Yay, you for kicking ass at the gym and at the keyboard!

  22. Silma, Good for you for making progress, even if it was by accident. *g* I guess next time I look at a fitness program I’ll be careful what I ask for. LOL!

  23. Sasha, That makes sense. I’ll definitely have a guide book if we go or one of those translation machines.

  24. Thanks Jaq!
