I finished doing my edits on Revenge of the Sky Goddess last night. I’m so happy. Still can’t tell how the book is…other than better than it was. *ggg* I’m sending it out today once I finish typing in all the changes that I’ve made. It will be off to Harlequin at the beginning of next week. Yah! With any luck, I’ll be back to my urban fantasy on Monday…after I get my teeth cleaned. That’s all the excitement happening here. How about your end?

Rounding up cowboys. Getting ready to send them away. I can’t top the excitement of teeth cleaning, though. *g*
by Charlene July 13th, 2006 at 12:45 pmYay for finishing the edits.
On my end, I’ve ressurrected and old SciFi thingie and worked a bit on it. It is some fun to NOT having to do tons of research first and then adapt the plot to history, for a change. But I can’t get too distracted from my main projects.
by Gabriele July 13th, 2006 at 3:55 pmCongrats on finishing the revisions!!
by jaq July 13th, 2006 at 5:09 pmCongrats!!! I was in a live chat with agent Miriam Kriss a few nights ago over at FF&P. She said the “IT” read (my words not hers) were urban fantasy and specifically indicated that ‘kick ass first person voice’ as the thing that did the trick. Just thought I’d pass it on.
By the way, must be the season for water problems, by upstairs bathroom is now in pieces after a plumbing nightmare last week. Got to lover Mercury Retrograde. It IS good for revisions, though.
by Ursula July 13th, 2006 at 6:51 pmEchoing congrats on the edits. Yayyy, you.
by raine July 13th, 2006 at 6:54 pmCongrats on finishing the edits, Jordan. My first book of three is due to Kensington by the end of August, so I’m busy writing my fingers off
Ahh deadlines - I hate ‘em, but they really do make me more productive!
by Tina Gerow July 13th, 2006 at 7:20 pmCharlene, LOL!
by Jordan July 13th, 2006 at 8:18 pmCongrats! The only thing exciting on my end is that I’ve to start running or I’m going to be late. LOL.
by May July 13th, 2006 at 8:19 pmGabriele, Good for you! Sometimes the mind just needs a vacation.
by Jordan July 13th, 2006 at 8:19 pmThanks Jaq!
by Jordan July 13th, 2006 at 8:19 pmUrsula, Thanks for the heads up.
Sorry to hear about your plumbing problems. Enough with the water already.
by Jordan July 13th, 2006 at 8:24 pmThanks Raine!
by Jordan July 13th, 2006 at 8:25 pmTina, They are motivating that’s for sure. (wg)

by Bailey Stewart July 13th, 2006 at 9:06 pmBailey, *ggg*
by Jordan July 13th, 2006 at 9:24 pmYayy on finishing your edits before Nationals! You must be feeling really relief. *g* Oh, things are okay here. Trying to balance my check account, and paying bills. Tomorrow I have to work too. Exciting, isn’t it? Not!
by Silma July 14th, 2006 at 5:58 amCongrats on finishing the edits! As for me, I’m smack right in the middle of editing hell. My CPs found one major plot hole, which now I need to cover. *sighs* I’m thinking of using flashback to give the background info quickly without breaking the flow of the story.
by Tempest Knight July 14th, 2006 at 7:01 amI’m with Charlene, I can’t top teeth cleaning. Finishing a stupid self-inflicted rewrite this weekend, then it’s time for everyone with fur around here to Go See the Vet and Get Shots.
Last week was way more interesting: I shorted out a power supply and melted some cords during a lightning storm surge. For once, I was completely backed up and safe. Has everyone else done a backup lately?
by PBW July 14th, 2006 at 7:26 amSilma, That is exciting. *ggg*
by Jordan July 14th, 2006 at 10:27 amTempest, If you can fix the problem with a few short flashbacks, then I’d say go for it. Like you said, you just don’t want to bog the story down.
by Jordan July 14th, 2006 at 10:28 amPBW, LOL! Yep, it’s hard to beat a dentist visit.
I hate rewrites, although I’ll take them over trying to fix a lot of little things. Hope they go by quickly for you. Good luck with the vet. I’m sure the critters are excited. (wg)
Sorry to hear about the power surge. That sucks. I’m glad you had your system backed up. Whew. Mine does an automatic backup weekly onto a secondary hard drive. I also burn anything I’m terrified of losing onto a CD.
by Jordan July 14th, 2006 at 10:32 amCongrats on finishing! It always feels SO good!
by Larissa July 15th, 2006 at 3:14 pmLarissa, It feels amazingly good.
