My Super ex-Girlfriend

As you can see from the blog entry, we went to the movies today. I suppose there are worse ways to waste an hour and a half. To give them their due, the premise of this movie was cute. Normal girl gets super powers and it changes her entire personality/life. Years later, she’s a ‘tad’ neurotic. When her current boyfriend breaks up with her, the neuroses morphs into a mild case of fatal attraction. There were a few laughs throughout the movie, but overall I thought something was missing. Perhaps it was the emotional connection to the characters. There didn’t seem to be much of a build up in that area. Should’ve gone to see Pirates for a third time. *ggg*

I’ve made a list of everything I need to take/get done for Nationals. I tried to buy a couple of ebooks for my reader, but the New Concepts Publishing site wouldn’t let me put the books in the cart. Sigh. Tomorrow will probably be insane with last minute scrambling. I’m going to get packed after the cleaners leave, so I should be good to go. I can’t believe how nervous I am. 🙁

On the writing front, I’ve gotten confirmation that the Phantom Warrior contracts have been received. I’ve sent in cover art request forms. Keep your fingers crossed for me that the covers turn out as well as Somewhere in Time and Atlantean’s Quest 4: Return. My editor told me to expect edits upon my return from Nationals. Yay…sniffle. Writing a book in a month and doing edits, lucky me. *ggg* WAH!!!!!

  1. You can do it! You’re Super Writer! Have fun in Atlanta.

  2. I went to see that movie Saturday, and I almost walked out of the theater. I couldn’t feel the “chemistry” between the two protagonists. And thought the actor wasn’t the ideal one for the part. He wasn’t funny enough. I’d have casted someone else.

Hope the cover turns out great! And don’t worry about writing & editing your book in a month. You can do it as long as you cut down a bit on your internet time. *wg*

  3. Have a great time in Atlanta, Jordan! And I’ll send productive thoughts your way for the writing/editing. You’ll do fine 🙂

  4. Thanks Charli. I’m going to try. 🙂

  5. Tempest, Yeah, that was the other thing I noticed about the movie, too. There didn’t seem to be any sparks between Luke and Uma. I would’ve probably cast Matt Dillon, if he hadn’t already been starring in Me, You, and Dupree (sp). He can do dry comedy well. It was worth a shot going to see it.

As for the internet diet, I definitely see another one in my near future. *ggg* I’m also going to have to get out of the house…away from temptation. (wg)

  6. Thanks Tina, I will. 🙂 I appreciate all the good thoughts I can get. 😀

  7. Well good to know I don’t need to bother seeing the movie. I wasn’t overly interested in the first place so this just reinforces my decision. I still have to see Pirates, been too busy, maybe when I’m on vacation in a few weeks, hopefully it will still be in theaters! *g*

Good luck with your packing. BTW I finished all your e-books that I downloaded over the weekend. *blush* They were mmm mmm good.

  8. Shannon, You definitely aren’t missing much at the theater…except Pirates. 😉 As for my books, LOL, glad you enjoyed them. (wg)
