I’m always afraid to announce these things before I sign any contracts, BUT yesterday I was offered a three-book deal from TOR. It looks like they want my near-future paranormal suspense, along with two more books in the series. I’m genuinely floored and excited. This is the opportunity I’ve been hoping for. I just can’t believe it’s actually here. :-O

  29. Jordan, that’s stupendous, marvelous AMAZING NEWS!!!!!!!! I’m so excited for you! Oh oh and I *jumping up and down for you* I converted two new people to your books, they want more more! Oh yeah and I tripped over a Bacchus lookalike at Starbucks over the weekend. Kill me now, he was soooo gorgeous. Then my husband had to go and clear his throat behind me and interrupt my droolfest. Bacchus noticed my staring, the husband behind me, gave me a wicked grin, a wink and was gone…be still my heart…oh yeah and that husband growled at me…very Bacchuslike. We finished up the heated exchange at home.

  36. I want to say it again. Woo Hoo!!!!!!!! You so deserve this!! The pub date being all the way in 2008 is pretty normal. I just turned in a book to Berkley that they scheduled for May 2008. Publishers buy a long way in advance!

    Obviously I’m a latecomer to all the decisions that’ve culminated in this deal, but they were obviously the right ones, and from your recent posts, exactly what you were looking for.
    So a big hearty congratulations and an open-armed welcome to the paranormal world (which is so silly for me to say since my books aren’t even out yet). It sounds like Tor is getting behind these books to put you on an every six month schedule. I’m thrilled for you!
