I want to write a quick note to thank everyone who stopped by to congratulate me. I’m still in a bit of a daze, which translates to ‘I’ve yet to start the NaNo’. *ggg* I’m getting ready to head out to the pool, so hopefully that will give me some inspiration (ie get me away from the computer).
I’ve seen a few cool things over the last couple of days and thought I’d share them with you today. The first item came to me from a friend in Sydney, Australia. It’s a feel good short film that I think everyone should
view. Sometimes, a hug is all that we need. Free hugs is a real life controversial story of Juan Mann, a man whose sole mission was to reach
out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives. I don’t know about you all, but watching the film made me feel better.
Next up I’d like to share a couple of cool book covers. Vicki Pettersson just posted her upcoming releases and the covers are gorgeous. Seriously, you must all go look at them.
And finally to celebrate my upcoming deal, I’d like to give away some books. So if you’d like a chance to win a copy of Phantom Warriors: Bacchus and Phantom Warriors: Saber-tooth, tell me what your favorite book of mine is and why. If you haven’t read any of my books, then tell me why not. *wg* Good luck!!!
November 3rd, 2006

You start NaNo ASAP, otherwise… *waves a whip at Jordan* *g* Tears of Amun, without a doubt. It just happens to be one of the rare few books (together with books from PBW and Elizabeth Lowell) that I read purely as a reader, which makes it one of the rare books I can reread. Maybe I’ll have time to reread it again after NaNo.
by May November 3rd, 2006 at 11:30 amThanks May! That’s always nice to hear.
It’s one of my favorites too, followed closely by Gothic Passions.
by Jordan Summers November 3rd, 2006 at 11:51 amI haven’t read any of your books but that’s because I just recently found out about you from May. However, once my semester is done, your name is at the top of me TBB list for winterbreak reading!
by racyli November 3rd, 2006 at 12:13 pmI haven’t read any of your books. Just found your website. They sound great. Congratulations on your book deal.
by Crystal B. November 3rd, 2006 at 12:28 pmThank you for your honesty, Racyli. School comes first. Always.
by Jordan November 3rd, 2006 at 12:47 pmThanks Crystal.
by Jordan November 3rd, 2006 at 12:48 pmHi Jordan,
my favorite book, wow that is a heart question because I love all of your books that I have read so far. But as I have to choose one I take the one that got me addicted to your books, namely The Arrival
by Danny November 3rd, 2006 at 2:32 pmThanks Danny. I try to hook them early.
by Jordan November 3rd, 2006 at 2:33 pmCongratulations to you, Jordan!!! I knew it was only a matter of time. It’s too tough to choose a favorite so I’m going to say one of them is Tears of Amun. I read it a long time ago but it stays in my mind mostly because of the setting. I just loved that story.
by Kim November 3rd, 2006 at 7:18 pmThanks Kim!
by Jordan November 3rd, 2006 at 7:25 pmExodus. Jac is such a strong heroine and I just love the chemistry she had with Ares.
by Jenny November 3rd, 2006 at 8:10 pmThanks Jenny!
She’s my favorite heroine, too. *g*
by Jordan November 3rd, 2006 at 8:38 pmJordan - WOW — congratulations on the deal!
by Anonymous November 3rd, 2006 at 10:41 pmHmm, that comment of “Wow and congratulations” was from me. Not sure what happened to my name there…
by Douglas Clegg November 3rd, 2006 at 10:42 pmI haven’t read any of your books, sorry. It’s because I don’t have any of your books, I’ve never come across any at the book stores so I take it now that they are just ebooks. I do have several ebooks not that many. I would love one of your books.
by Tammy G. November 4th, 2006 at 5:49 amI haven’t yet read any of your books, Jordan, and shame on me because I visit your blog frequently and have been meaning to buy some of your stuff forever. So I just ordered a download of Gothic Passions (can’t resist those vamps!).
by Lara Adrian November 4th, 2006 at 6:06 amAbout that Free Hugs video. I saw the guy on Oprah the other day and thought his one man mission to show some love was great! I loved that guys were hugging him, too. Sometimes, you feel like maybe there is a little hope for this world, eh?
Gothic Passions.
by Amy S. November 4th, 2006 at 6:46 amThanks for bragging on my covers, Jordan! I think they’re wonderful, and it was sweet of you to take up blogging space to mention them. Thank you!
As for your books, I’m only recent to you as well. Do you have a rec. as to where to start?
Vicki
by Vicki Pettersson November 4th, 2006 at 8:11 amI think my favorite is still the first Atlantis book as it was one of my first erotic romances that I read and the start of a fun series. So it contains fond memories.
by Nicole November 4th, 2006 at 8:50 amSorry I’m late with my congrats, Jordan. We’ve been away on vacation and I just read about your sensational news this morning. Congrats on your newest EC release and big, fat gargantuan congrats on your 3-book TOR deal! I wish you great happiness and much success with this wonderful new turn in your writing career!
by Daisy Dexter Dobbs November 4th, 2006 at 9:42 amNo worries about the comment, Douglas. It happens sometimes (a lot).
Thanks for dropping by. I currently have Mischief in my TBR pile. I’m really looking forward to reading it.
by Jordan November 4th, 2006 at 5:16 pmTammy, No worries. I have a few books out in paperback at various Borders stores, Atlantean’s Quest 1: The Arrival, Atlantean’s Quest 2: Exodus, Somewhere in Time (Tears of Amun), Wicked Women on Top, and Bad Boys Over Easy. The rest are in ebook like the ones I’m giving away today.
by Jordan November 4th, 2006 at 5:18 pmLara, Thank you! I hope you like Gothic Passions. It can be graphic at times, hence why EC published it *g*, but I still really like the story. I’m looking forward to your first vamp book. Like you, I have a soft spot for vampires, even if I find myself mainly writing about werewolves. *ggg*
I’m glad the ‘hug’ guy made it on Oprah. I felt very uplifted after watching that video. It does give you a glimmer of hope.
by Jordan November 4th, 2006 at 5:21 pmThanks Amy!
by Jordan November 4th, 2006 at 5:22 pmVicki, I think those covers are beautiful and deserved to be mentioned and ogled.
As for my books, it’s always weird because most of my books are so old now. I wrote AQ1 in 2002. I’d say my current favorites are Gothic Passions, Tears of Amun, and Phantom Warriors: Saber-tooth. Any of those would be a good introduction to at least some of the ways that I write. LOL! You can email me privately if you like. jordan@jordansummers.com
by Jordan November 4th, 2006 at 5:25 pmThanks Nicole! It was the first book I ever sold.
by Jordan November 4th, 2006 at 5:26 pmThank you much, Daisy! I hope you had a good time on your vacation.
by Jordan November 4th, 2006 at 5:26 pmJust wanted to add my congrats!! Came across your name and news on another blog and wanted to wish you all the best : )
by Robin Bayne November 5th, 2006 at 11:02 amThank you, Robin.
