It’s been one of those extreme days where I’ve received good news and bad news. The good doesn’t come close to balancing out the bad, but it certainly helped ease it a little. Very little. No, I won’t be talking about the bad because it’s not appropriate and it is not about me. The good will have to wait until next week sometime. I wish I could tell you more, but I honestly don’t know much.
Now onto ‘cheerier’ subjects. I picked up Ilona Andrews’ book, Magic Bites today. I liked the excerpt and wanted to check it out since she’s set her world in the near-future like RED, my upcoming release from TOR. So far, the book is great.
I do have a wildcard question for the readers out there. Have any of you read Enchanted by Nancy Madore? If so, what did you think of it? Bonus points for anyone who has read EC books and can compare the heat levels to those in Enchanted. ![]()

I haven’t read it.
I hope that whatever the bad news is, that it will get better.
by Bailey Stewart March 30th, 2007 at 5:50 pmYou and me both, Bailey. You and me both.
by Jordan March 30th, 2007 at 6:39 pmI’ve read most of Enchanted and quite frankly, I wasn’t that impressed with it. For one thing, Enchanted is straight erotica and not even good erotica. So I think the emotion that comes with a good erotic romance from EC was missing. It was a bit more explicit in places, but not in others. So perhaps the same. But really, if you don’t have to, don’t read Enchanted. It’s just not worth it.
by Nicole March 31st, 2007 at 6:06 amWell, at least there’s good news. Hmm, now I’m even more interested in Magic Bites!
by Charli March 31st, 2007 at 6:33 amI haven’t read either–I have to say Ms. Jordan I hate being teased! *ggg*
by Amie March 31st, 2007 at 8:13 amWow Nicole! Okay. That’s not good. Have you read any of the Spice line that you’ve liked?
by Jordan March 31st, 2007 at 11:28 amCharli, Yes, there is good news. Thank goodness. I’m going to start reading more of Magic Bites tonight after I finish more edits.
by Jordan March 31st, 2007 at 11:29 amAmie, I’m sorry. I probably shouldn’t have said anything. *g* It’s VERY early in the game. Anything could happen, including a fumble. *ggg*
by Jordan March 31st, 2007 at 11:30 amYikes. I am having the week from hell also.I hope your family is fine. UNFORTUNATELY I work with my spouse and THAT’S where the problem is–ugh.
Hang in there..
by Maddie March 31st, 2007 at 2:06 pmMADDIE
Maddie, Thank you. My family is well…thank goodness. Sorry you’re having a bad week. Hope you guys get it worked out with the work situation.
by Jordan March 31st, 2007 at 4:00 pmNot really, Jordan. I do have the Kayla Perrin one somewhere, but I haven’t read it. And I glanced through the Blonde Geisha at work and it looked bad. So not real impressed by the line. But Dirty by Megan Hart is supposed to be good, so I may try that one before giving up completely.
by Nicole March 31st, 2007 at 5:57 pmNicole, That’s what I was afraid of.:( You aren’t the only person who’s said that.
by Jordan March 31st, 2007 at 7:05 pmSorry about bad news.
