Pirates of the Caribbean 3

We just got back from seeing Pirates 3. Normally when I return from seeing one of the Pirates’ movies I’m pretty upbeat and happy, still laughing at the antics. Not so with this movie. I DID like this film, but the romantic in me would’ve preferred a different ending. I agree with most of cuppacafe’s review. There is a lot of plot in the movie and several loose ends refuse to be tied. Sequel anyone? I did NOT find the plot/movie confusing. I also didn’t feel like I’d been sitting in the theater for almost three hours when it ended. I found the film entertaining and quite bittersweet. I can’t go into details without giving away a TON of spoilers. Let me just say that you MUST stay until the credits end for the final scene. Like cuppacafe, I’d recommend this movie, if you enjoyed Pirates 2. I will buy it, when it comes out on DVD, but you can bet I’ll be mentally rewriting some of the storylines. (wg)

  1. I feel the same way about the movie. I was a little dissapointed with the ending. All I’m going to say is once every 10 years! 10 years!?

And is it just me, or did Orlando Bloom get a little hotter in the last ten minutes of the movie?

  2. Cynthia, Orlando definitely looked hotter toward the end of the movie. I think it was the bandana. *g* I hear you on the ten years. 🙁

  3. I thought #2 was a bit too long, but enjoyed it anyway. And yes, I’m still going–this week, after the holiday rush is over.

Orlando gets HOTTER?! Oh, hell, that’s worth the price of admission by itself!

  4. Raine, He was definitely looking good. 🙂 I’ll be very curious to hear what you think. 🙂

  5. 10 years? Tell me they don’t all get separated and together again every 10 years at the end. : O I don’t care what happens, though, I’m watching it the minute I get my mitts on the DVD.

  6. Charli, I’m not saying a word. 🙂 Enjoy the DVD.

  7. Well I wish someone else had said to stay until the end before this. LOL I went and saw it yesterday too, and I enjoyed it. But I didn’t stay until after the credits rolled. 🙁

  8. Oh Sasha, you REALLY needed to stay. :/

  9. I totally agree about the movie on all counts. I was a little sad when it was done 🙁

  10. Tina, Yeah, that was a first for me after leaving a Pirates’ movie. I normally leave quite happy and spend the day mulling over what happened in the movie. I did mull things over after this one, but the more I did, the more depressed I became. Sigh.
