Sigh. Pirates is getting REALLY bad reviews…and I don’t care. I will still be in the theater this weekend with water in one hand and a Zone bar in the other, chomping away and smiling. (wg)

I finally managed to watch the end of Blood Ties. Other than the fact that characters aren’t acting like normal ‘people’ (ie dating, physical contact, etc.), my biggest peeve about this show is that Henry is forever getting his ass kicked. Now I could see this happening on occasion. After all, there’s always something bigger and badder out there. But this happens EVERY TIME he gets into a fight. He’s supposed to be an old vampire with super-human strength. He shouldn’t be picking himself up after being tossed around like a rag doll continuously. Attention writers of the show: Please give Henry his balls back. He misses them, almost as much as I do.

  1. Aye Jordan! I too will be bracing the crowds and going to see Pirates. I don’t give a shit what any reviews say, I know I’m going to love it.

  2. Vivi, Yo, Ho! We’ll see it at least twice at the theater before buying it on DVD. 🙂

  3. It has Orlando Bloom. With dark hair (his Legolas never did it for me, but he was quite yummy in that unhistorical Kingdom of Heaven). That’s enough for me, lol. Though I have to wait for a theatre to play the original here; I hate dubbing with a passion.

  4. Bwahaha! Please tell me what you really think of Blood Ties. *ggg*

Looooove Pirates. Can’t wait to see Pirates.

  5. Gabriele, Orlando worked for me with both hair colors. *ggg* 🙂 I fell for him as Legolas, then definitely as Will the pirate. 😉

  6. Charli, Don’t get me started. *wg* They’re ruining my Henry. 😉 I can’t wait to see it either.

  7. Lol, in LOTR it was sexily brooding Eomer (Karl Urban) with his wild mane who caught my fancy, though Karl is naturally dark haired, too. Faramir (David Wenham) was attractive as well. And David is such a versatile actor – who’d have guessed his next role after Faramir would be Carl in Van Helsing. 🙂

  8. OMG Gabriele…I love David, and I can’t watch LOTR anymore without seeing crazy Carl running around. LOL I adored him in that movie. I like Orlando as Legolas, and the only other movie I liked him in was Elizabethtown. I’m all about Jack!!

  9. Gabriele, Yep, I liked Karl Urban, too. And Viggo. (wg) You’re right about David being a versatile actor. He gets a lot of work because of it.

  10. Vivi, Yes, there is something appealing about Captain Jack Sparrow. (wg)I’m afraid in real life that Johnny is a little too precious for me.

  11. Reviewers? Phffft!! I’ll be seeing it early next week. 😉

  13. Oh hell yeah. Me and the guys are looking to see it sometime this weekend. (Granted, it probably helps that I’m in it not for a “great” movie, but eye candy… I mean, really, can’t lose with Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Kiera Knightley. *grins*)

  14. Raine, I figure since it’s getting a C+/B- grade nationally that I’ll definitely enjoy the movie. A lot of people hated number 2, but I really liked the characterization. I figure it’s how you go into it. 🙂

  15. Bernard, I’m just saying. (wg)

  16. Nonny, I just want to be entertained. The eye candy is gravy. *g* 😉
