Jo, Bruce would make a really good hero because of the character traits he projects. He’s alpha and fairly uncompromising, but extremely protective. He’s funny and strangely charming. Also, there is something sexy/sexual about him. A kind of underlying confidence that he exudes.

Raine, I think you’ll like this one. I know Bruce Willis fought long and hard to get this movie an R-rating, but the studio wanted it PG-13. His reasoning was that this is the last Die Hard. It should go out with a ‘bang’. They wanted all the kiddies to be able to see the film without an adult. Money won.

I actually am looking forward to the big dumb action movies this summer. Although I have to admit the only reason I’d bother with Die Hard in the theater is for hubby. I could wait till it comes out on DVD but he likes the big screen, although all the people in the theater he tends to grumble about. I think he’s scarred from our last experience at the movies when a rather erm large man man whapped him in the back of his head with his beer gut. How do you explain to someone that they’ve just given you whiplast because they whacked you with their gut?

I LOVED the first Diehard, and the second one nearly as much. So I’ll probably see this one too…but why in the world would they bother with a PG-rating? (grumble, grumble…)

I love these kinds of movies. Remember, as writers, we need to feed our heads with all kinds of treats, from steak tar tar, to fine wine, to dark beer and cheetos. Keeps us vital and versitile.
