Ratatouille

We went to see this film on Saturday. As you might imagine, the kiddies were out in force, which was okay since I’d rather have them at the theater than teens. Nothing ruins a movie faster for me than a bunch of teenagers talking through the whole thing. Grrr…

Sorry, I digress. ;) Anyhow, we went to see this movie. It was from the team that created The Incredibles/Monsters Inc., etc. As you might imagine, the movie was cute. The animation was fantastic and left you with a message about true friendship.

For those who haven’t seen the previews, Ratatouille is the story of a rat who loves food. But not just any food. Great food. The way a chef loves great food. He doesn’t exactly fit in with the other rats around him, since they’re happy with garbage. It also doesn’t help that his ‘dad’ runs the rat colony he lives in. Anyway, he meets up with a kid who has difficulty holding a job. This kid happens to be the kitchen cleaner of a famous restaurant. Together they figure out that they make a good team. The rat can cook and the kid can pass for human. ;) Mayhem ensues. Like I said, the film is really cute. If you just want to go see a happy entertaining film with a great message, then Ratatouille is the movie for you. :) Next up, Transformers. (wg)

  1. I’ve seen the previews for this several times and it looks very funny. (I swear it’s the preview on every kid movie my kids have watched…)

Transformers! Evil Deceptacons! Bring ‘em on.

  2. It’s like a smorgasbord for movie goers!!!

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I love it. We saw Nancy Drew which was cute as can be and was a fun girl’s afternoon (no boys allowed!) and then the boys and I are going to see Transformers this week *ggg*

  3. Charli, The kids loved the film. I thought the opening was hilarious. Yes, I’m ready for the Transformers. :)

  4. Amie, It is a good movie time. Harry Potter will be out next week, I think. There are several August movies that look cool. Can’t wait. :)

  5. Cool. I’ve been thinking about taking my kids to that movie!

  6. Suzanne, I think they’ll really like it. :)

  7. I’m so behind on movies since my deadline is looming and so is Nationals, but I do really want to see this one as well as Live Free, Die Hard and Evan Almighty. Maybe after this book is turned in :)

  8. Oooh, sounds good. I’ve really enjoyed the previews. And I’m SO going to see The Transformers! Bring it on!! :)

  9. Awww. I really want to see Ratatouille. Will have to wait until it’s out on DVD though, since our little girl is too little yet to sit though a movie at the theater.

This one looks like a good way to kill an hour or so, though.

  10. My daughter and I went to see this last night and we absolutely loved it!!
