Passports and other fun things

I went out this morning to get my passport renewed. I packed a jacket, a book, a notepad, water and a Zone bar. Yes, I planned to be there for a while. I found the courthouse and walked in. There was no line, but the girl sent me home because she said that it was cheaper for me to fill it out and mail it in on my own. Guess I know what I’ll be doing later today. *ggg*

So what kind of fun are you guys having?

  1. Trying to avoid the scorching heat. Fun? What’s that? Not until it cools down some.

  2. Bailey, I hear you. Busy work is…well…just busy. ;) Stay cool.

  3. I think I might just hang out at the movie theatre this weekend. I’m going to go see the Bourne Ultinatum then when that’s over, I’m going for a bite to eat then going to watch Stardust.

  4. Moving my nephew out of harm’s way, calling all my family and friends in Texas and La. to make sure they’re ready or ready to go, and trying to finish editing the final draft of this !@#$& book.

On the bright side, the GenSoy bars my doctor told me to start having for snacks are not completely repulsive. Kind of like vitamin-enirched Kudos, actually. :)

  5. Vivi, That sounds like a lovely way to spend the weekend. Stardust…sigh. I love that movie. And Bourne kicks butt.

  6. Lynn, (((Hugs))) on riding the storm out. I don’t think anyone is ready to do that again just yet. As for the book, you know you have my sympathies. ;) Glad the GenSoy bars are working out for you. I find hot tea can make most things more palatable. *g*

  7. Just returned from a bit of traveling. There are pics on my blog. :)

  8. I’m writing an outline for a new novel. New novels, I’m beginning to believe, are like new cars. You only really love them twice: when they’re fresh and new, or when you sell them. :)
