August is Ending

Is anyone as excited about August being over as me? I doubt it. This has been a trying month. A month of revelations, most of which I could’ve done without. *ggg* Thankfully, September is right around the corner and with it (I hope) cooler weather and positive changes.

The second Tor book is beginning to fall into place. I got some help with the romance (thanks to the girls and Heather:), so once I give it some more thought and figure out where it falls in the story arc I should be good to go. YAY!!!

I’ve heard that my Blaze, OFF LIMITS is officially in production. Hopefully that means I’ll see a cover soon. When I have one, I’ll post it.

Have you guys seen all the paranormal shows premiering this fall? I am so excited. It’s like a sweet shop for my eyes. *g* One I’m especially looking forward to is True Blood on HBO. It’s the show based on Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse series. Can’t wait! There’s also another vampire show premiering on Fridays called Moonlight. And of course, Blood Ties will return. Sigh. Henry. Sigh. I almost forgot the Supernatural boys. Shame on me. (wg) Someone in Hollywood obviously didn’t get the memo that vampires are out. 😉

Are you looking forward to any new shows? If so, what are they and why?

  1. So far, no new shows are calling. I’ve become a Netflix addict and love to watch old series–all at once. I just finishing all of “Deadwood” and am working on the new season of “Rome”. That Timothy Olyphant is easy on the eyes.

  2. I’m looking forward to Supernatural (of course) and Reaper — some slacker guy’s parents sold his soul to the devil and now he has to go after escaped evil souls and send them back to hell. lol. I’m hoping for that same type of quirky humour Shaun of the Dead had.

  3. Laura, It’s nice to be able to see an entire series. We just bought the first Battlestar Galactica and the first season of 24. Haven’t managed to finish either one yet, but I do understand why people enjoy them. 🙂

  4. Vanessa, Oh yeah, I forgot about Reaper. That does look like a fun show. It would be great if it was like Shaun of the Dead. 🙂 I also want to see the Bionic Woman.

  5. I am SO glad August is over. I know I shouldn’t wish away time, as I can’t ever get it back in this lifetime, but this month: wow: it was really something else.

I don’t know how I’m going to finish my second book with all the good shows coming out. the DVR will be putting in the overtime!

  6. Ursula, I plan to make good use of our DVR too. It’s a good thing Tivo just released a new version. I’ll need it. *ggg*

  7. I am thrilled that August is over, hopefully the 105+ heat indices are over as well. I can’t wait for the second season of Blood Ties. I hadn’t heard anything about True Blood, but I get HBO, so I’ll be sure and try to catch it.

  8. Ann, It goes into production in the fall. (True Blood) I’m not sure if that means it’ll air then or just film. Yes, I’m WAY ready for the heat to hit the road. Enough!

  9. I’m lookjing forward to November for the BSG movie Razor, then the new series starts in January. but I’ll have bought season 3 on DVD so that will keep be busy hopefully until the new season. I’ve finally watched the season of Firefly. It’s brilliant, and I kind of wished I didn’t, because I want more so much more and will never get it.

  10. Vivi, BSG has a movie coming out? Didn’t know that. I’ll have to look it up. 🙂 I hear that the Firefly DVD’s are terrific. I loved the movie and bought it. I never did catch the entire show.

  11. I resist the temptation to be thrilled at passing time, no matter how hot, dreary, or stressful. Every time I do it, something happens to make me look at what I wished away fondly. 🙂 I’m looking forward to checking out Torchwood.

  12. Bernard, Wise words indeed. 🙂
