I’m back, but exhausted. *ggg* Dh and I drove back to the Midwest for Thanksgiving. It took two very long days to get there and two very long days to get back. Luckily, the weather stayed on our side. It was lovely driving and the roads weren’t too crowded at all.
Thanksgiving itselt was fabulous. Mom out-did herself once again. The food was terrific. Miss it already.
It was wonderful having the whole family together. Wish we could do it more often. I laughed a lot. The weekend was topped off with a mean game of Yahtzee. Always fun. I only wish I could’ve spent more time alone with my mom. The visits are never long enough. Nor should they ever be. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. This one will definitely go down as one of my favorites. My heart is still glowing.
Today dh and I have an appointment to do our walk-through on the house. We’re really looking forward to it. Kind of makes it more real, you know? This week is going to be hectic. I have three appointments (not counting today’s meeting) and I have to finish packing up the house. Did I mention that writing needs to fit in there somewhere? (wg) So with that in mind, I’m off and running. Catch you all later. ![]()

Whee — a walk-through!! How fun and exciting! Glad Thanksgiving was so lovely, too. Keep us updated on the house (of course).
by Catherine Morris November 26th, 2007 at 1:31 pmW. C. Fields was quoted as saying:
I once spent a year in Philadelphia, I think it was on a Sunday.
Moving evokes the same feeling in me.
Best of luck with it. Hang on to the excitement. It may get you through the drudgery.
by BernardL November 26th, 2007 at 1:58 pmSpending time with family is always nice. I’m glad you had a good time.
I hate moving. Not the new place, just the act of packing and un-packing.
by Bailey Stewart November 26th, 2007 at 2:34 pmYeah Jordan! Great to hear from you. I’m happy to hear the holiday was a good one. Let us know about the walkthru! Always an exciting time. I remember my first house walkthru. I was giddy the whole time.
by Vivi Anna November 26th, 2007 at 2:56 pmSounds like a great way to spend Thanksgiving! Hope you enjoy the house walk-through. : )
by Charli November 26th, 2007 at 4:42 pmThanks Catherine! The walk-through went well. Only a few minor problemos. Nothing that can’t be fixed. Thanksgiving was wonderful. Really need to do it again soon.
by Jordan November 26th, 2007 at 7:30 pmBernard, LOL! Love the quote. I’m hoping to hang onto my enthusiasm. It’s our first house, so I think I can do it.
by Jordan November 26th, 2007 at 7:30 pmBailey, I’m definitely not looking forward to the unpacking part, but it has to be done. *g* It was definitely a nice visit home. Need to make it more often.
by Jordan November 26th, 2007 at 7:31 pmVivi, Thanks!
The walk-through was good. A few paint fixes and a couple of replacement items and we’ll be good to go.
by Jordan November 26th, 2007 at 7:32 pmCharli, It was a great way to spend the holiday.
The walk-through is done and out of the way. Next stop the final signing and the move. YAY!
