Fab Day

I had a fabulous day yesterday. First thing in the morning dh and I received news that our loan was accepted. (We had to turn in the final piece of paperwork earlier this week.) So lord willing and the creek don’t rise, the house will be ours on Monday when we sign the papers. YAY!!! Also my doctor’s appt. yesterday went well. Apparently, I’m going to live. Always a good thing. 😉 We ended the day with a trip to the movie theater to see Enchanted. It was a very cute romance. They twisted a couple of fairytales and came up with a clever story. I highly recommend seeing it.

Today, I’m meeting my elderly neighbor for coffee. She’s a hoot. I really enjoy talking to her. Afterwards, I may hang out in the coffee shop and work on the urban fantasy, since I’d like to get it done as quickly as possible. Well I better scoot or I won’t make it on time.

What’s everyone reading over the holidays? I want to pick up the new Jenna Black book…BAD.

  1. I’m glad you got the loan!

I’ve been thinking about seeing Enchanted, but wasn’t sure if it was any good or not.

I just finished reading “I’m Your Santa” an anthology by Lori Foster, Karen Kelley and Dianne Castell. I’m reading “The Trouble With Paradise” by Jill Shalvis. I’m hoping to read her book “Strong and Sexy” pretty soon.

  2. Bailey, You’ll like Enchanted. It’s really cute. I haven’t read that anthology. Actually, I haven’t read any X-mas anthologies this year. I’ve heard Jill’s The Trouble with Paradise is terrific. I’m not surprised. I love her work.

  3. I’m waiting for Harlequin and Amazon both to deliver. Holidays are Hell has been on my wishlist forever!

Enchanted looks very fun. Will be getting that on DVD when it releases. (Yes, I do miss movie theatres.)

  4. Charli, Let me know what you think of Holidays are Hell. I thought about buying it, but hesitated.

  5. Congrats on the loan being accepted!

And I’m dying to see Enchanted…nice to hear it was good!

Reading…not sure yet. I’ve got so many books in my TBR pile that I’m not sure where to start!

  6. Larissa, Thank you! I think a giant TBR pile can sometimes be intimidating. I know mine is. I someday hope that I can read faster. I’d love to work my way through the pile at a swift clip.

  7. I’m getting back into Dean Koontz’ Brother Odd. It’s a strange one, and Koontz has the option of actually telling a story at his own pace. I watched Blood Ties last night. If they don’t find a way to inject some chemistry between the two leads, they’re in trouble. Happy moving. 🙂

  8. Great news on the loan, Jordan!
I’ve been having a bit of a Blaze feast recently. I read Flyboy by Karen Foley, which I loved! I’ve just finished Lisa Renee Jones’ Hard and Fast, which I also enjoyed. I adore sports and liked the baseball setting. Next up is Sex Bomb by Jamie Sobrato.

  9. Bernard, I’m not sure what happened to Blood Ties. There was all kinds of chemistry there in the beginning, then the writing turned to solving crimes. I hope it gets better. I love Henry.

  10. Shelley, Thanks! I almost picked up Fly Boy. It has a great cover and a cute premise. I may have to download it. 😉

  11. Congrats on the loan! Hope you got the writing done.

I’ve got Flyboy in my TBR pile, by the way. When I finish this book I’m going to binge read.

  12. Lauren, Thank you! Managed more house stuff, but no writing. Once we get in and get everything hooked up, I’ll be in a cave until the book is finished. I hear you. I have SO many great books in my TBR pile. I cannot wait to dig into them. Good luck with the book. 🙂
