The number varies depending on how busy everyone is (they have deadlines too). I'm not a big fan of revisions either, but I figure they save me time on the back end. The closer I can get the book into shape before I submit it, the less work I *should* have coming from my editor. Obviously, things don't always work out that way, but it works more times than not. I will probably start editing on Friday and keep going until I'm done. Then I'll print the book out and do it all over again, before sending it on. So much depends on how sick of the book I am by that point. *ggg* As for finding Stephen, we'll find him...if he's still out there.
