I’m back. Exhausted. And I may have jury duty tomorrow. Should give you an indication of my mood. My trip home came straight out of Planes, Trains and Automobiles with all the nightmares happening on the planes. This includes an emergency landing, sleeping in the airport and a child (who is old enough to know better) kicking the back of my chair for an entire five hour flight. Yeah, just call me the evil juror. Snort.

Eeee. I’m glad you’re safely home. Hopefully you will not have to report for jury duty and can stay home and twitch. *g*
by Charli March 31st, 2008 at 7:30 pmWow. Sorry the flight was such a nightmare. Good luck with the jury duty.
by Ann March 31st, 2008 at 8:54 pmIt was great seeing you! Glad you finally made it home in one piece! I’ll send positive thoughts your way so Jury Duty goes well.
by Sasha March 31st, 2008 at 9:56 pm{{{Hugs}}} on the bad trip. Literally. Hope you’re not called, and can get some rest!
by raine March 31st, 2008 at 10:17 pmWelcome back safely. The kid should have known better, but what about the parent? It’s amazing what adults allow kids to do when the kids have a captive audience. Maybe it was like my Ohio trip, where the parents dumped the kids on one side of the plane, next to me, and then stayed incommunicado well away from their angels.
by BernardL April 1st, 2008 at 8:45 amCharli, LOL! Twitching is right. I just found out that I’ve been released from jury duty. YAY!
by Jordan April 1st, 2008 at 11:07 amAnn, Thanks!
by Jordan April 1st, 2008 at 11:07 amSasha, It was great seeing you, too and hanging out.
You and me both, sister. It was one scary ride. Jury duty is over. Thank goodness. I really don’t think I would’ve done well today. *ggg*
by Jordan April 1st, 2008 at 11:08 amThanks Raine! I think I need about five more nights like the one I had last night before I’ll be completely recovered.
by Jordan April 1st, 2008 at 11:09 amBernard, Thank you. It’s good to be back. Yes, the kid should’ve, but to be frank, she sounded like a brat. There was a lot of ‘baby voice’ screaming during the flight, which is why I thought she was younger. Also, the mom sat with the two kids, so she was there the whole time…letting them do what they wanted.
The dad was in the aisle across from them and I heard him a couple of times trying to get them to calm down. Oh do I miss the days when spanking wasn’t considered child abuse. LOL!
by Jordan April 1st, 2008 at 11:13 amJordan! We had some of that fun getting back from New York as well. Thought we’d be living in the Chicago Terminal indefinitely for a while. We didn’t get home until 2:30am on Tuesday morning. Ack! Then I had a 4.5 hour drive from Delilah’s to my house. Talk about completely exhausted. But it was great meeting you and I enjoyed the time we spent together. You’re an absolute HOOT!
by Myla Jackson April 3rd, 2008 at 4:22 amMyla, Oh man! That sucks too. It seems like there were two types of travelers after the conference. The ones who had a hellish trip home and the ones who didn’t have any problem at all. *ggg* Glad you made it home safely. It was great meeting you, too.
