It usually either happens when I've read several excellent books in a row and the bar is set too high, I'm tired of a particular genre but haven't yet gotten into a new one, or -- and this is the worst -- have been editing my own writing and can no longer read <i>anyone's</i> writing without being critical. In each instance, it usually just takes a little time. Soon enough I'm desperate for something new to read. I have that same problem sometimes, Jordan!
