Indiana Jones IV

We went to see Indiana Jones yesterday. It had a lot of the fun that you normally get from an Indi movie. The cast was back with some additions and a few ‘missing’ faces, which were explained quickly. This time the Russians were after the artifacts. Their motivations were a tad unclear, but that didn’t stop the movie from rolling forward. (Keep in mind Lucas wrote this…and the last few Star Wars flicks.)Harrison was his typical Indi. It was nice to see the character back. Everyone was moving a bit slower, but that’s not really a surprise. The special effects got a little over the top after a while and the ‘silliness’ factor rose significantly in this installment. The best description for the movie came from dh. He said it’s a cross between the Temple of Doom and the Last Crusade with the emphasis falling toward the Temple of Doom. I think if you go into it with no expectations, then you’ll have a good time. If you’re a long-time Indiana Jones fan, then it’s a must-see. 🙂 Have a safe Memorial Day Weekend. We’re off to see Narnia.

  1. Indy and I have a date next week.
    Lookin’ forward to it. 😀

  2. Thanks for the review. Remember in Raiders of the Lost Arc when Indy jumps aboard the outside of a submarine, and then the scene switches to a map showing the sub going across the sea. There can’t be any scenes in the new one more in need of an imagination than that one. 🙂

  3. Raine, I think you’ll enjoy it. 🙂

  4. Bernard, I remember that scene. It looks gloriously possible and realistic compared to a few of the scenes in this latest installment. *ggg*

  6. Yep, Bernard…that says it all. *g*

  7. I loved the silliness factor. It was very fun and just what I expected. 😆

  8. Charli, I’m glad you enjoyed it. 🙂
