Tomorrow is the fourth of July. I have a post coming out at Romancing the Blog. In my younger days, I made sure to attend some kind of fireworks display. Not so much over the last ten years or so. Being married to a Scot probably plays a part in it, but it’s also because I really don’t like large crowds. There was a time when they didn’t bother me, but that ended when I was nearly crushed at a rock concert. That has a way of changing ones perspective rather quickly.
On Saturday we have a couple of friends, Jason and Michelle coming over for pizza. Should be fun, since we haven’t seen them since their wedding.
I wrote on Tuesday, but didn’t manage any words yesterday. (Something is wrong with the book and I’m trying to pinpoint the problem. I think it’s in the last two chapters I wrote, since I didn’t think there was a problem until then.) Instead, I spent the day stuffing envelopes with bookmarks and RED arcs. I ran out of envelopes.
I have about 18 more to go. It’ll have to wait a few weeks. I’m dreading the cost of postage since several of the packages are headed overseas.
(Mental note to self: Won’t be doing this again unless I’m being paid the big bucks.)
Other than that, I haven’t been up to much. I’m currently reading Marjorie Liu’s new book, The Iron Hunt. Very poetic writing. I’m also reading, The Last Vampire by Patricia Rosemoor and Marc Paoletti. The latter is a fun read, but reminds me a lot of the Mummy movie with Brendan Fraser. Still haven’t managed to see Wall: E or Get Smart. Hopefully we’ll remedy that soon.
