It’s always weird coming down after a book. This one more so than others because it’s not just one book I’m coming down from. I basically wrote the last two back to back. Of course, that doesn’t stop me from thinking I should dive right back into the next projects. Right now those projects are looking like an UF and an UF/YA. I’ve started the UF, but not the YA beyond a few notes. They’re both going to take some time. The UF because I haven’t finished charting the book yet and the YA because I have to get the voice right. After that, I’m looking at putting something together for Harlequin. Not sure what yet. I was reading through some partials that I wrote quite a while ago and two have a lot of potential. (fun premises) I just don’t know if I want to bother with either. I may try to come up with something new. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
Tomorrow I’m going to a Mad-hatter tea party. A friend’s daughter is celebrating her 18th birthday by hosting the party. Should be fun.
Today, now that the workers have left my house, I think I’m going to spend my afternoon watching movies and playing video games. Yep, that sounds like a plan.

Hee. I was hoping you’d do another Blaze. It really is such a fun line, and action romance fits so well there. I also vote for playing with the YA.
Mad Hatter’s Tea Party sounds like a blast. Enjoy!
by Charli September 5th, 2008 at 4:29 pmI didn’t say it would be a Blaze. I don’t know what kind of book I might write for them. *g* The YA does sound fun. Ah, the joys of high school.
Yes, I can’t wait. It should be fun.
by Jordan Summers September 5th, 2008 at 7:04 pmIt would be very nice if you could use one of your previous partials to start a new project. Were the partials YA?
by BernardL September 6th, 2008 at 8:06 amBernard, Yes, it would be. It would save some time. The problem is it’s really difficult to get back into old work, even though a couple really do have a lot of potential. I think once I’ve recovered from the writing and editing binge, I’ll have a better perspective on the work. Of course, I just heard that I should be receiving edits for book two any day now. Sigh. Gulp.
No, none of the partials were YA. The funny thing is I never thought I’d EVER write a YA until this one started talking to me. *g* I guess I should never say never.

If you’re taking odds, I’ll put my money on this one.
by raine September 8th, 2008 at 12:40 pmRaine, Those are pretty good odds.
