Please Don’t Spank Me

I know I’ve been bad about blogging lately. I do apologize. I’m trying to get so many things finished and together before the end of this month that I just haven’t had time. I did mail off all the ARC’s for RED to the winners. So you guys should receive them soon. I will have dh draw two more names on Monday, so there’s still a chance you’ll be walking away with a free read. YAY!

Today I wrote an article for the November Tor newsletter. It was on the idea behind Red and how it evolved into something much more than its humble beginnings. Tomorrow I have an emergency dental appointment. Yeah, I’m not digging it either. But these things happen. I need to get my teeth fixed so I can eat my way through Germany, Austria, France, England and Scotland. *ggg* ;)

I haven’t managed to watch NCIS, Supernatural, Criminal Minds or CSI NY yet. No spoilers please. I did watch Bones and was bummed to see it wouldn’t be back until the beginning of November. I wish the networks would stop doing that with shows. No wonder ratings are in flux. People can’t find the shows and forget when they’re returning.

Meeting some writer friends on Monday for High Tea. Can’t wait! I love High Tea. Dh and I are going to High Tea in London while we’re there. Yes, my favorite travel destinations are hotel High Teas and graveyards. Go figure! Snort!

When you travel, what do you like to see?

  1. Dude, when are you guys planning on going? I am sooooooo jealous. Mm, I can just imagine strolling through the German city streets, or renting a Mercedes and cruising through the winding courntryside roads and stopping at little villages along the way and being inviting into someone’s home for a huge dinner and lots of beer.

    Ah, good times! Good Times!

  2. We’re out of here in Dec. Luckily, the house is wired for sound and we have security checking on things daily. :)

I don’t know if we’ll be invited in anywhere, but that would be fun.

  3. Eating your way through Europe sounds fabulous. So does high tea! Enjoy.

  4. Hope you have a fabulous time!

  5. Charli, Yes, that does sound fun. Certainly different. ;)

  6. Thanks Wendy! :)

  7. When I was in Germany, we were driving to the Black Forest and when we stopped for gas, a young guy asked for a ride. He lived near Freiburg and was just out of university and going home. Hitchhiking of course is a standard form of transporation in Europe. So we picked this guy up, and drove him home, and when we got there his parents invited us in, and we stayed for a wonderful dinner and they even invited us to stay the night. We were flabergasted that they would offer, we declined, but the father did direct us to the best way to Freiburg even going as far as driving in front of us for half the way so he knew we were safe and on the right path.

Very cool. My parents I believe still pass Christmas cards with them!

  8. Vivi, Oh that sounds wonderful. Very cool. What a great experience. I’m not sure my dh would pick up anyone. *ggg*

    Very nice. :)

  9. Sounds like an amazing trip Jordan, you have a wonderful time.

I’ve never been to Europe, but hope to go some day. I’d want to see everything and so wouldn’t know where to start firs.

    Regards
    Lea
