Bond, James Bond

Yesterday, we finally made it to the theater to see Quantum of Solace. I know a lot of people are complaining about the movie because it didn’t incorporate gadgets, but I LOVED it. The character development was spot on. We are watching the transformation of a spy. We’re seeing how Bond goes from caring to cold killer. It’s a fascinating character study. The movie itself was a bit like a Bourne film, which was fine with me, since I like those movies, too. Daniel Craig just keeps getting better and better in the role. We’ll probably go see it again.

I’m still up to my eyeballs in work at present. The copyedits are moving along nicely. I have critiques rolling in on the UF that will keep me VERY busy. I should still manage to get the partial into my agent before Thanksgiving. Tomorrow, I have another dentist appointment. I’m due to get my second temporary crown. I should have only one more after that to put in the permanent crowns, then I’m done…til next year. 🙄 Thursday I’ll be doing a podcast with the folks at Fangs, Fur, and Fey blog. I’ll put up more information on Wednesday. It’s going to be a busy week. I have appointments everyday, but Friday. 😯

I messed up the timeframe for The Galaxy Express yesterday. You CAN find me there today. 🙂

  1. Hi Jordan:

You certainly do have a busy week. I hope all continues to go well. 🙂 I will try and stop by at the other blogs you are visiting.

I’m about half way through Red and thoroughly enjoying – I won’t gush further.

I had this grafting procedure across my upper gum line about three hours ago and to say I’m unhappy would be an understatement. I am now into the “total wreck” stage. There has to be about 10 stitches holding everything together. Much like the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz! I am really getting too old for this sh@$.

Finished whining on your blog and going to bed now. – 🙁

  2. Lea, Yes, I do. I’m sure it’ll all get done. *g*

    Glad to hear it. 😀

    OUCH!!! (((Hugs)))

    Feel better.

  3. I found you there! 😉

  4. I’m glad things are going so well! I hope they continue to be that way.

  5. Azteclady, Yay!

  6. Karin, Thank you! Me, too. 😎

  7. Want to see Bond! Husband went without me, but we’ll go together when time allows. I don’t mind the less gimmicky, I like seeing more characterization.

  8. I always thought they had way too many gadgets in the Bond films. As you say, Bourne does without being Inspector Gadget. It’s time for Bond to keep the toys at a minimum too. 🙂

  9. Charli, I think it’s only fair he gets to watch the kids while you go see Bond. 😉 I actually didn’t think anything was missing. I mean I like the gadgets, but I don’t see a point in having them if they don’t enhance the story.

  10. Bernard, I agree. I don’t mind some, but they weren’t necessary to this storyline.

  11. Thanks for the linkage, Jordan! Part II is up, btw. Come on over, y’all!

  12. Heather, You rock! Thanks!
