Books, Books, I’m Drowning In Books

I’m currently sitting at 9.5 BOXES of books. You read that right. I have officially boxed up that many books. I believe I had more than I realized. Gulp. 😯 I’m almost done going through them. I have a few more to get through (ie read), then I’m going to haul them to the library. I did think about something while I was boxing up the books (many of which were brand new thanks to conferences…and me not getting around to reading them). I thought maybe I should share the LOVE. So with that in mind, I am giving away two flat rate boxes of random books. Some are romances, some are urban fantasy, and some are horror. They are randomly placed in the boxes, so if you want to toss your name into the hat for a chance to win now is the time.

Unfortunately, I do have to limit this particularly contest to US residents ONLY. I’m sorry, but the boxes weigh too much to ship internationally.

To give you an idea of who is in these boxes I’ll toss out a few names: Shiloh Walker, Nalini Singh, C.L. Wilson, Colleen Gleason, Alexis Morgan, Kresley Cole, Anna Katherine ARC, Patti O’Shea ARC, Sharie Kohler, Jessica Andersen, Catherine Mulvany, Lori Handeland ARC, Cheri Scotch, Yasmine Galnorn, Lynn Viehl, Majorie Liu, Lara Adrian, Jocelynn Drake, Caitlin Kittredge, etc. There are more, but that’s at least a taste.

I think you get the picture. 😀

I have gathered names for the SCARLET giveaway. There’s still time to toss your name into the hat for that one. The Scarlet contest is open to anyone in the world, so enter away. I’ll draw names on Wednesday for both contests. Good luck!

  10. Ooooh, a box of books.

Here’s my name, in the hat. And I love the idea. Mayhaps when I get published I’ll do a similar contest and add one of my books to each box, plus clear out the bookshelf too.

I feel like that girl from A Chorus Line “I hope I get it, I hope I get it.”

P.S. I’m really looking forward to reading your fist book Red (= I heard it was pretty great.

    Thanks so much!

  44. I’d love to get one of the boxes. Please enter me in the contest.

  45. The boxes sound FANTASTIC since I love romance, urban fantasy and horror! Thanks for the generous contest. Pick me! 😉

  46. I’m not sure there can be such a thing as “too many books”… although my sister/roommate doesn’t agree with me. 🙂 The last time something similar happened to me, I re-defined it as “not enough book space” and now I have 16 bookcases in the basement. If I get one of your boxes of books, I think I can squeeze one more bookcase in the corner behind the door. 😉

  47. I would love to be entered. I do not know how you can box them up and send them to the library…you are strong, very very strong. Books are really my addiction!!

  48. Oooh, I know I’ll get in trouble, but can’t resist.

Toss my name in too, please!

    Rashda

  49. Ooh, I’d love a box!

  50. Lori T, It’s definitely hard, but I do feel somewhat relieved. The weight of having so many things to read has been taken off me.

    They’re my addiction, too. 🙂

  51. This is an awesome opportunity, thank you–I would love to be entered into the drawing and then, if I would win, I would then be able to pay it forward.

Thank you very much for doing, great idea 🙂

  52. I’d like to put my name in the hat, too. I’d love to win the box of books!

  53. We definitely have the same taste in reading, Jordan, count me in please.

  54. I found your contest via Lynn Viehl’s blog. You can’t have too many books, I always say. 😎 Please add my name to the pot!

  55. Hi Jordan! Do add me, thanks bunches!!!

  56. I have way too many books already. But if I won, these wouldn’t be more of MY books, they’d be YOUR books. Which totally doesn’t count. Or that is the line I plan to use on my XY.

  57. please throw my name in the hat

i read about a book a night, so i cant keep up
and ill take them to the library i take all my others too

  58. Tossing my name into the hat! I’d love to win a bunch of books!

  59. Toss my name into the hat. I love getting new books to read.

  60. Please throw my name in the hat, too, if there’s still time. Thanks!

  61. I just reread this and realized how many books you really have. There’s a little green monster inside of me who’s jealous…but there’s a little lazy monster inside who’s glad I’m not the one who has to move them all! 😉

  62. Who wouldn’t turn down more books!!

  63. Jackie B, They snuck up on me over the years. I also have gotten a TON of books from conferences. Like boxes and boxes of books.

  64. I too want to throw my name in the hat. 😀
