How Things Are Going…

It took me three and a half hours to do ten pages of copy edits. At this rate, I should be done by Christmas. 😯 Perhaps that aim for Friday (which means mailing it by Thursday) was a little premature. 😥

Zooming By

Watchmen: If you’ve read the graphic novel, GO see it. Very well done. Smart dialogue. As in the graphic novel, it gives you a lot to think about. Great adaptation.

THIS cracks me up. Go now and pick up the latest device. 😉

Back to work.

New Arrivals

As I hinted yesterday, I received a box of SCARLET ARC’s in the mail. I will be doing giveaways. The number will be determined later since I plan to do a bookseller mailing with the bulk of the copies. As we get closer to June, I’ll also be giving away copies of RED, since Scarlet picks up a short time after Red leaves off.

RITA books are due on Monday. I still have two to read. I also received copy edits for Crimson today. They’re due on Friday the 13th. Plus, I’m still working on the urban fantasy. That should give you a pretty good idea of what I’ll be doing over the next week, which means I’ll be even more scarce than I have been as of late. The good thing is my schedule should open up tremendously by next weekend. YAY! I just have to cowboy up until then.

Have a great weekend and week ahead. I’ll catch you guys when I can breathe again.

Gonna Have To Take a Miss

I was really looking forward to going to the Romantic Times Convention this year, but it looks like I have to take a miss. Too much economic instability. Sigh. Oh well, such is life.

Cavalia was magnificent. The people in the performance really love the horses and it shows. I wanted to ride just about every horse I saw. (typical for me) If it comes to your town, I highly recommend attending.

My agent, Ginger Clark did an interview. You can read all about her HERE.

Today is Mum and Dad’s 45th Anniversary! May they celebrate 45 more. Happy Anniversary! 😀

I’m beginning to feel human again. Hopefully that means I’ll be able to get back to work tomorrow. I’m going to be hard-pressed to make my self-imposed deadline of Friday for finishing my urban fantasy. I suppose if I turn it in next week it won’t be the end of the world.

I did receive a nice surprise in the mail today. It begins with ‘S’ and ends in ‘T’. Any guesses? I smell a giveaway coming up.

Waved Goodbye to the Vampire, Now I’m Tired and Sick

I sent Paris After Dark to my editor. I tweaked that story until the VERY LAST SECOND. (Dh helped a LOT!) Now I’m praying I caught everything and that Trisha likes what I’ve done.

In the process of finishing the novella, I seem to have caught a cold. I really hope it gets a little better by Tuesday, since we have tickets to go see Cavalia that night. I don’t want my sneezes to spook the horses…or the people who have to sit next to me.

I still have one more title to read for the RITA’s. I have to get that done this week because the scores are due on Friday. I also have to work on my urban fantasy to flesh a few more things out. I want it done by the end of this week, too. Maybe I should work from bed… 🙄

Cough. Sniffle. Cough.
