Last night we went to see Star Trek again. What can I say? I REALLY like that movie. Tomorrow, we’ll be going to see the Proposal. I’ll write a review when I get back. Friday is my mom’s birthday. I was home two weeks ago (for a week), but I still wish I could be there tomorrow. What can I say? I’m missing my mommy and my family. That’s one of the strange things about being alive in this time period. Thanks to jobs and opportunities people are incredibly spread out. Back in the day, unless you were an adventurer (or adventurous), you didn’t really leave your hometown. I suppose you can’t change ‘progress’. *g*

I managed to get the Blaze partial off to my editor. Hopefully she’ll like it as much as I do. Now it’s back to work on the YA’s and the new UF partial. Digging for diamonds.

I also finally received my author copies from Tor. I now have a couple of boxes of Scarlet sitting on my kitchen table. They are very pretty. I smell giveaways coming up. πŸ˜†

Wish I Was Going…

Man, I wish I was going to Comic Con this year. Peter Jackson is going to be there. So is Dr. Who. And they’re previewing a ton of movies and shows. Sigh. Ugh! S.J. Day please take a lot of pictures. πŸ™‚ Have any of you ever gone to one of these cons? If so, did you enjoy it?

What You Expect vs What You Get

I was anticipating a decent pay month this month, but thus far it hasn’t happened. I don’t know if the planets are out of alignment or what. So far, I’ve had four–count them FOUR–checks lost this month. I’m not even sure how that’s possible, but obviously it is. Sigh. πŸ™„ Other than nagging, I can’t really do much about it, so I have to let it go. Not an easy thing to do.

I’m still working on my partial for Blaze. I expect to have it done today. My critique partner was kind enough to talk me through her suggestions yesterday. It helped tremendously. I hope to submit the first one tomorrow. Then it’ll be time to play the waiting game. At least I’ll have two projects circulating. I plan to get back to the YA after this partial is submitted.

Has anyone seen the Hangover? I thought it looked stupid, but the reviews are really good.

Currently reading Relentless by Lauren Dane and Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews. What has your reading attention these days?

Don’t Judge Me

Have a pile of books waiting for me to read them, but I couldn’t resist picking up Lauren Dane’s RELENTLESS. Don’t judge me. πŸ˜†

Is anyone else looking forward to the movie, THE PROPOSAL? I can’t wait.

Meme-via Jeaniene Frost

This Meme came from Jeaniene Frost. I thought it was funny, since you can’t explain anything. *g* Feel free to answer the questions yourself.

The Rules:

1. You can ONLY answer ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

2. You are NOT ALLOWED to explain ANYTHING unless someone comments you and asksβ€”and, believe me, the temptation to explain some of these will be overwhelming. Nothing is exactly as it seems.

Tough Going

Man, I’ve been out of town for ten days and it’s been a BEOTCH to get back into working out. I’ve done it, but it’s been all about the pain. The drag is that the Active program kicked my out of my thirty day challenge. It did give me the option to start over. I suppose I should’ve, but I didn’t want to. I decided to keep going. Once I hit thirty days, I’ll start the challenge over again.

My brother’s b-day is coming up this weekend and I can’t remember if I sent him a card. Sigh. πŸ™„ No, I don’t want to call and ask. Seems kind of tacky. Like I don’t know, like I should remember. 😳

I’ve decided to work on several projects–mainly a bunch of partials while I’m charting out my YA’s. They will take me longer to write. This I know. And just when I thought my mind was finally on a different track, I come up with a new paranormal romance idea. UGH!!! I swear I piss myself off sometimes.

I bought it a long time ago, but I just finished reading Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews. LOVED IT! Rushed out to buy the rest. That happens sometimes. I get on these rolls of reading a ton of books that I’ve had on my shelves for YEARS. What about you? Reading anything interesting? Waiting for anything to come out? For me, it’s Mark of the Demon by Diana Rowland and Dreamfever by Karen Marie Moning. (I don’t even want to think about how long I’ll have to wait for the final book in that series. Grrr…) Do you think begging Karen would help? Yeah, me neither. *g*
