I normally say that I wish I could attend when I can’t go to one of the RWA conferences, but not this year. I wasn’t feeling it, especially after they announced the location. No, I’ve never been to Washington D.C. I do hope to go at some point in the future, when I can spend days at the museums, but not this year.
Are any of you attending the RWA conference? If so, what are you looking forward to the most?

I am not at all divided about not being there this year. DC is a really neat place to see, worth the trip, though.
by Charli July 2nd, 2009 at 8:57 amCharli, I have no doubt it would be a cool city to see. I’m just not feeling the conference this year.
by Jordan Summers July 2nd, 2009 at 11:18 amDC is very much worth the trip all on its own. If you go for a con, you won’t get to see much. Also, summer is probably not the best time! Hot and humid.
by Charli July 2nd, 2009 at 1:56 pmCharli, That’s true. And who wants to deal with the humidity.
by Jordan Summers July 2nd, 2009 at 2:34 pmI’m only divided over the fact that I just want to hang with my buddies. And well I could’ve hunted down a couple of editors that I really want to work with. But my agent is going and she’ll be doing that for me.
I’m not sure what the benefit would be for me right now to attend RWA
by Vivi Anna July 2nd, 2009 at 3:09 pmVivi, Seeing friends is what I REALLY miss. I haven’t seen anyone this year. It’s been such a drag. I wouldn’t have minded getting to see my Harlequin editor. She’s always lovely to hang with, but other than that, I really didn’t have a reason. The stuff I’m working on right now isn’t romance.
