Where’s My Order???

As many of you know I’ve been waiting for the new Ilona Andrews book, MAGIC BLEEDS to be released. I was fortunate enough to get a sneak peek and really, really, REALLY loved it! I loved it so much that I pre-ordered three/four copies of the book. One was to go on my keeper shelf, the others were meant for giveaways. I also ordered the second season of True Blood, but that’s neither here nor there. *ggg* Anyhow, according to Amazon my package shipped and logged into my city. It should’ve arrived on the 26th. It didn’t. It also didn’t arrive on the 27th or the 28th. The tracking number keeps insisting that it’s in transit. Perhaps there driving it here via Alaska..? I finally broke down and wrote Amazon, since it’s more than obvious it never made it out of the warehouse here in town. Hopefully they’ll send me a new order and I’ll be able to do my giveaway next week. 🙁

If you haven’t checked out Ilona’s latest release, you truly are missing a GREAT read. For readers who’ve been following the Kate Daniels series, the payoff is HUGE!!! I won’t give any spoilers, but trust me, this book is a MUST BUY!

  1. I’m frustrated because I gave away my copies of Magic Bites and Magic Burns so I can’t re-read them. Which means I probably won’t read the third one, even though the whole reason I gave up on them was because I was tired of feeling like I was never going to get answers for certain questions. Which apparently happens in this book. *sigh*

  2. Sasha,

Magic Bleeds is the fourth book in the series. The series has been building with each book. There’s been bits of information that has come out, which has led up to the events in Magic Bleeds. The shit truly hits the fan on all fronts in Magic Bleeds and answers a TON of story questions that have been brought up in previous books.

Personally, I’d go out and get the books again so I could read the whole series, but I’m biased. I think the series is terrific. I started reading the first book when it first came out, then put it down because I wasn’t in the mood for that type of story. I went back to it several months later and am so glad that I did because it sucked me in and hasn’t let me go yet. I snatched up each book in the series as it was released. Like I said in the blog entry, Magic Bleeds is a HUGE payoff for the folks who’ve been following this series. It’s terrific. As the sixty something reviews on Amazon can attest to. 🙂

  3. Aaahhhh, I don’t have my copy yet. Or Dreamveil either. Ahhhhh!

  4. Charli, My package finally arrived today. Thank goodness.

  5. I believe it’s the payoff you say it is. I’ve heard that in many places. I really liked the character Kate, and read the first two, or three, I can’t remember for sure, but I do remember thinking “that’s it, I’m done.” after the last one because it just felt like things would never get answered. I also remember being very frustrated with it, which means I was invested. Like I said, I really liked Kate, but I also felt very strung along. Not a good thing when there are so many other books out there to try.

If I have time this summer I might give them another try, but honestly, I’m just not sure.

Either way, I’m glad readers finally get some answers, even if I don’t bother to find out what they were.

  6. Sasha, Well if you ever decide to try it again, you’ll know there’s a payoff coming. 😉
