Knight and Day

Went to see Knight and Day today. Now I’ll be the first to admit that I used to really like Tom Cruise. Not in a crush sort of way, but I always found him and his movies entertaining–at least until all bat shit behavior. After that, I had a hard time watching him. I could never separate the man from the character he was supposed to be playing. Without the suspension of disbelief, it was impossible to enjoy the films. That’s why I’m so surprised that I enjoyed Knight and Day.

A brief summary of the film. Tom plays a secret agent (ie James Bond level spy), who may or may not have betrayed his country. Cameron plays a mechanic, who is guided onto the wrong flight. Adventure and antics ensue. There is a lot of humor in this movie and tons of action. It’s not the type of film that will stick with you, but it’s definitely a summer popcorn flick and an entertaining way to spend a couple of hours. I’m glad I gave it a chance. 🙂

  1. I think it worked because he played crazy and THAT was believable. *ggg* I really enjoyed it.

  2. LOL, Charli!!! Makes sense actually. *ggg* It was a cute movie. Definitely worth catching.

  3. I’ve never liked Cameron Diaz but I really liked the movie trailer for Knight & Day. From your description the trailer must not be the only minute of action in the movie like so many are.

  4. Yeah, I think I want to see it.

I love these type of movies, fun, action, good chemistry between the leads…

  5. Bernard, It’s interesting you say that. My mom doesn’t like her either, but thought she made the movie in this particular case. The flick is non-stop action.

  6. Vivi, I think you’re going to love it.
