First Fifty-Five Done!

I finally finished the edits on the first fifty-five pages of my young adult novel. I haven’t typed all the changes in yet because that will take a while. I’ve added a LOT–thanks to the great suggestions given to me. I do think once I get all the changes typed in, I’m going to put the manuscript inside of Scrivener. I haven’t used the product yet, but with all the cutting and pasting I’ve been doing I think it would help a lot. Also, I have a ton of notes that I’ve scribbled/typed/stickied and would like them to all be in one spot rather than spread all over my desk. Right now, I have two YA’s on my desk and I can no longer see desktop. I need all the organizational help I can get.

On a personal note, I lost another pound and a half. I’m hoping to add to that loss by next week. It’s nice that the scale is still moving in the right direction. 🙂

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I’m going to try to catch Fright Night on Monday or Tuesday with a friend. I can’t wait. 😀

  1. Wheeee, go Jordan, go Jordan! Also, let me know how Scrivener works out. I still haven’t made the shift and won’t any time soon with my current back/forth mobile workflow. Unless they make it into an app. Which could happen.

Rock on the weight loss. I’m not back to pre-baby weight yet, but I did just hit the “okay to work out” point and did both yoga and my usual walk yesterday. : )

  2. Charli, Thank you!!! I will let you know about Scrivener. I know it has a learning curve, but I’m really hoping it works well. As for an app, I think it might have one of those. That sounds familiar.

Thanks! I’m psyched. 🙂 Good for you on the exercise. I’m sure you’re happy that you can go at it again. I have no doubt that will take the little you have left right off. 🙂

  3. YAY! good for you , on both the weight loss and the 55!

I use Scrivener sometimes. I find it helps when I’m trying to get started on something…have yet to use it for a whole project yet though.

  4. Good progress. I’m glad the scale is still going in the proper direction for you. 🙂

  5. Sasha, Thank you! I’m happy to be through my plateau. It took a while this time. Fortunately, stopping is not an option.

I have no idea how I’ll use Scrivener. Right now I’m working in Dropbox, which is great, but doesn’t help when it comes to organizing notes and manuscripts. Even if that’s all I got out of Scrivener, it would be a huge help. 🙂

  6. Thanks Bernard! It’s been slow going lately, but I’m determined. 🙂
