Scarlet and Winter

Scarlet and winter, two things that go well together. I didn’t think I was going to make it, but somehow I managed to get Scarlet edited and released. Dead World Book 2 is officially available everywhere but Apple. I hope that it gets on their site soon. Don’t know if it’ll make it with the holidays closing in fast. I’m still questioning a decision I made in the book. There was a love scene toward the end of the book that I seriously considered cutting. I didn’t, but I’m still not sure if it was the right decision.

Right now I’m playing in Switzerland. It’s truly beautiful here, even though they’re seriously hurting for snow. There’s enough to ski on just barely. It snowed yesterday, but today was so pretty that most of melted it. I would upload pictures, but the bandwidth here is limited.

White Christmas and the Holidays

Today I’m off to see White Christmas at the theaters. It’s a special showing and I’ve never seen it on the big screen. I’m a huge fan of musicals, so this is a real treat for me.

I’d hoped to have Scarlet uploaded before I left for the holidays, but I think there’s been a hold up. Well, I know there’s been a hold up, I just don’t know why yet. I’ll get it up as soon as I can. I’m still hoping to beat the distribution cutoff dates, but we’ll see.

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy 2014.

Dead World Scarlet

It took working until 3:00am, but Scarlet is officially off to the formatter. I have no idea if he’ll have time to get to it before I leave town for the holidays. I’ll keep you posted. Like everybody else, I’m scrambling to get everything ready before the holidays strike. I recently received some wonderful news. I’m going to have to keep the information vague, since it hasn’t been ‘officially’ announced yet, but I got word the other day that my Young Adult novel finaled in a pretty tough contest. It’s being sent to a N.Y. editor and a literary agent for final judging. No idea if anything will come from this, but it was a nice surprise and I genuinely needed it after wrestling with the Dead World.

I will try to post pictures when I’m gone. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. 🙂

Mesmerized and Private Investigations

I just uploaded my two Kensington Brava novellas, Mesmerized and Private Investigations. These books were published in 2005. Private Investigations won the Lori Foster/Kensington Brava Reader’s Choice contest (Yes, I’m still surprised.) and has a Christmas theme. They’ll be available within a few days. I edited them using old .docs that I had. The late Kate Duffy didn’t make many changes to the original manuscripts. (That’s both good and bad.) I didn’t give myself a lot of time with them because I knew if I did, I’d end up rewriting them both. (My writing style has changed since I wrote these novellas.) I didn’t want to do that out of respect for the readers who enjoyed the original stories. 🙂

I’ve included the covers below. The buy links will go up the second they’re available.

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000030_00043]

On a completely separate note, Dh bought me the most amazing belated birthday gift. (It was supposed to arrive on time, but didn’t make it.) This will only get Doctor Who fans excited. I found out that Steven Moffat said the item was originally Captain Jack’s. Riversong ‘acquired’ it and repurposed it for herself. Squee!!!
